I liked this phone very much and bought it 10 days back. But I am disappointed now for choosing this. Here are the reasons. First of all the battery backup is very worst. Not even lasting for half a day with optimal use.(played games, used 2g internet). Second, it has overheating issue. (whenever I use it for 15 mins continuosly it is getting heated). Apps can't be moved to sd card. Internet seems to be very slow when connected to pc( usin thethering) and also when downloading apps from playstore. It takes lot of time for charging (2 hours appx). Other than these the phone's performance is very impressive like lagless gameplay, good camera, super display, smart features like motion.

Hey guys i like this phone very much & i'm planning to buy a new phone but i'm confused between s3 mini and samsung s2 & i heard about heating issues concerning s2 so i dunno which one would be da best i mean concerning specs s2 is much better but im worried because of this heating issue and i also wanna know if there is official jelly bean update for s2..i need ur answer with advice in details please.

been half month i buy this product, never regret to buy this phone, the size fit in my hand, pocket. Super Amoled give sharp vision better than galaxy grand. Battery power:
>24hour if turn packet data off, no phone.
less than 12 hour for playing games, camera, internet access.

Since I upgraded my S3 mini to JB 4.1.2 and I get a problem in the mobile data connection which is not solved unless I restart my device. Does anyone know how to downgrade back to JB 4.1.1?

Its been more than a month I am using this phone, i would say its worth the money and serves its purpose as a smart phone..battery life is good if you use your mobile wisely..3G drains out the battery,screen brightness control is on the notification pane and hence you can adjust ur screen brightness easily(keep it less bright to save battery), turn off unwanted app notifications/vibrations, gaming (dis is nt a gaming console so pls kp a check on xpctations).. everything about this handset is good,no lagging, restarting probs yet..its workin gr8.. however, camera is still a disappointment..

wats d major diff. betwn. s advance & s3 mini??? y s d price of s3 mini mor dan s advance??? bth hv almst same specifications though. n terms of price i feel s advance s way beter as cmpared 2 s3 mini with almst d same specs.

It is really simple to achieve good battery life, it's nine parts common sense and one part skill.
The biggest drain on any battery is 3G; it sucks the life out of it. I use 3G, but as soon as I've finished with it I turn it off. Anyway, there are plenty of free wifi hotspots where I live which makes life easier.
My motto is - Use it or lose it.
3G, wifi, living wallpaper (who need that? Leave it on and it draws about 2% of your battery. For what?).
Download a decent Task Killer and use it about once every two hours.
I don't install games on my phone either, I use a Nintendo DS for that; another battery saver.
I normally get 2 -3 days out of a charge using it moderately, which is a good return from a 1500mAh battery.

Here is how to silence the camera sound....
Go to the link below and find the post from Gerald R.
Click on that link and then 'Link to APK' on the new page. Download the apk and drag it on your external SD card. The open your app drawer and select 'My Files'. Navigate to the apk 'Enforced Stream Silencer' and click on it to install it. Then find the installed app in your app drawer and drag onto your Homescreen. Tap on the app once and it will show 'Disable STREAM_SYSTEM_ENFORCED'. If the box is ticked the camera sound is silenced. You can turn it on and off by this method.
I use it myself and it doesn't affect the call or SMS sound, only the camera.

I have bought this phone 4 days ago. My choice is it should not be so big and not small for regular use.and also it should have good camera, battery life,beautiful UI,vibrant screen,at least dual core,farther OS up-gradable etc.after hands on i have find all of that all most 90%.High quality phone calls. butter smooth transactions prompted icon responds. my complaint is ring volume is not loud. find no option of camera shatter "sound off" yet. battery life not as reviewed ( but i found some tricks for lasting battery more then 2 days)
with using Facebook, e-mail,shooting some photos,some phone calls, some SMS,some calculating,)limited application originally installed.front side is very beautiful back side is ugly.SD card under the battery
