j9, 12 Mar 2013what is the meaning of "mini-Sim"... Is it dual ... moreMini Sim is a tiny sim card. Smaller than the standard sim check http://bit.ly/15K7mcY. I suggest you search the net if Samsung released a Galaxy s3 Mini duos with dual sim. I wouldn't know that myself, but I don't think so.

I got myself confused there with my last post. I meant that Touchpal Keyboard has the nice looking skins. Also, the Swype method of typing is about the best of it's kind I've found so far.
It's the 'Gesture Dialing' on Touchpal Contacts that I liked. It's so fast just to load the dialer (which is VERY fast loading compared to the Samsung one, which sucks), and write a single letter or pattern to call a particular contact. I also like the option box that appears when you click on a contact in 'Favourites'.

A 'mini sim' card is what people now associate with a 'normal' size sim. The next size down is 'micro sim' which I can only describe as a mini sim with all the spare plastic trimmed off so that only the gold contacts are visible. A 'micro sim' is even smaller and is found in the iphone 5.
The Galaxy S3 Mini is NOT dual sim.

Is it dual sim card?
Because somebody is selling me her s3 mini and she mentioned that it is a dual sim..is it original of an immitation?

I'm glad you got that F/B problem sorted out at last!
Touchpal... I think it's one of the better free ones out there. It's very customisable. The slide option you mention is only available on 'Call Log', but if you go to 'Tools' (bottom right hand corner) and then press options (the gear wheel cog in the top right corner), and then 'General', you will see 'Customize item actions' where you can set it up the way you wish.
Likewise, when you are in 'Contacts' you can press on a contact for a second to get a new menu at the bottom of the screen.
The best thing I like about the keyboard are the skins, they look really nice. And also 'Gesture dialing'. I can write 'W' on the keypad to call my wife, or 'G' to call my girlfriend. (I hope my wife never reads this).
I'm not a Samsung fanboy. If I thought that a better phone was out there I would jump ship. The Sony range of phones are nice, but in the UK they are not competitively priced against the Samsung range. i.e. Sony's are expensive!

Yeah man i know there is alot of bloatware sucking the battery and that i should flash my phone with a custom ROM,but the thing is im gonna lose my warranty and im so newbie in this rooting stuff that there is a good chance i will brick my phone :p
I've read and heard beautiful things about that BenzRom V3 you are suggesting and believe me i want to flash it and at least get my ripple effect back so badly,but for now i will keep my stock Rom and hope samsung will release a good update soon enough :p
Also after uninstalling Dropbox since last night,battery looks back to normal now...only 4% drainage last night..thanks for the suggestions though,appreciated

Thanks man,it was a 3rd party app as you suggested...I uninstalled Dropbox before i went to sleep and rebooted it and this morning after 8 hours of sleep the battery drainage was just 4% o/
everything seems normal this morning,hopefuly that was the cause...cheers

Thanks man...last 5 days i only installed Dr... moreFrom what I've experienced, the problem is on it's stock ROM itself. Eager for solution, i search everywhere on the net but couldnt find want.
But finally i found the customized jelly bean rom. the name is BenzRomV3. I've got major battery improvement. i've got a total of 90 apps installed.
