Hi all who own this phone. Is a text message able to make a sound and vibrate at the same time? Also is there a reapeat noise options for text messages as I always seem to miss them !st time round. Is the web browing faster than say a C905?

what you mean by talk time 8 hours and more, i have one but more then one hour i can talk, i have to recharge and then standy also 8 hours and the battery dead ???? please i need clearence to my point. e-mail is camil@zoneclub.net

This is a nice phone but all those who lives in US do not purchase this phone because samsung USA doesn't cover the 1 year Warranty on non us models.
8mp camera in not that impressive comparing to Nokia N series. It's almost the same. But if you know how to use camera and change settings in different situations innov8 is a great 8mp phone. No FM transmitter. No DVB-H and who needs it in USA. Symbian OS is a plus in this handset the design is Good, it would have been great if the volume rocker was on the other side where camera switch was located. Volume rocker acts as a zoom in and out. This is a latest handset and its not us compatible available in Europe and Asia only so if your buying the phone be careful the warranty is not going to cover it. Its a little expensive handset and if anything happens to it you're on your own buddy. For people in UK you can get it in a contract of 35 to 45 Pounds and comes with service provider warranty and samsung 1 year warranty. Ugly looking phone with a 16 GB memory and SD card slot.
Worst cell phone design i have ever seen. duel slider is good but why they also have music keys at front navigation key pad. No DVB-H support for US so no no.

ken, 25 Oct 2008with 8 mega pixels u wont be needing a digital camera i... moreif ur ph dont have powerful xenon flash, forget abt it. u can never replace digi cam

I have always had Nokia phones and have now realised that Samsung has a lot to offer. My last Nokia phone was a Nokia N73, I had so many problems with it, it switches itself off and then cuts you off whilst in the middle of a conversation. I have now changed to Samsung and so far I have had no problems with Samsung. I am upgraing to a Samsung i8510 and the specs are way better than the Nokia N95 & N96. All those who feel that Nokia has had their time is correct, Samsung is definitely my number 1.

Having used this handset extensively for about 6/7 weeks now, I have just 2 gripes with it.
1) Will not work properly with my car bluetooth.
2) When receiving a call you can not activate loudspeaker if answered with the slide is shut. Yet if the slide is open when you receive a call you can select loud speaker. Also if you make a call with slide closed you can select loudspeaker.

i just bought this phone yesterday here in philippines. the phone itself is very much ok. i guess this handset is not appealing to the consumers unlike the omnia but as of now, i'm glad i have this the camera is ok. i used nokia n95 for more 1.5years, i guess samsung beats nokia way better.

Friends ! Don't think that Samsung or Nokia wanna defeat each other . Now they're working on many projects together including Powerful CPUs(more than 1ghz) , Graphical processors ,etc . It seems they just wanna laugh to us and enjoy user's fightings here !!!!

Its been more than 8 years i m using nokia phones and this is the first time i actually want to buy a samsung phone..rite now i m using n95 8gb..this ph is symbian, good battary timing..excellent camera..wut else u want.

Oh! I forgot to say...
The only bad thing about the INNOV8 is that the battery life is not very long, you must charge it almost everyday :(
I personally charge it every 2 days...
But I can live with that :)

Hey, why is everyone is acting like a child about the "Nokia vs. Samsung" thing?
I've been a Nokia user for 5 years (1100, 2100, 6600, 7610, 6630, 3250) but now I'VE HAD IT! I waited for Nokia for 3 years to release a mobile that doesn't go to the customer service almost every day or doesn't have to be formated or doesn't crash!
All my Nokia mobiles are not working now! :(
And they can't be sold (So I spent hundreds of dollars for buying other Nokia phones and for repairing them & changing their batteries!!) :(
I know that people now will say that I don't know how to use the Nokia mobiles properly or I broke them but HELL NO! All of them are in a great shape (only physically) and they look like new ones but NOT WORKING!!
(BTW I'm using a Siemens mobile (S60) for 4 years and IT'S WORKING GREAT, and it didn't visit the customer service or changed it's battery)
(I also have a Samsung phone (an old one) for 6 years and IT STILL WORKS)
But the Nokias can't be kept for more than 2 or 3 years.....
So FINALLY after this LOOONG sotry with NOKIA,I finally switched to SAMSUNG "INNOV8" :)
INNOV8 is working GREAT till now and the camera is AMAZING and the 16GB is so HELPFUL.........
I payed 850$ for it but I don't regret it, because with my experience with samsung, I'm not going to visit any customer service!! :)
I hope that the Samsung innov8 doesn't disappoint me like nokia, and I hope that it last with me like the other samsung & siemens phones!

nokia n82 have xenon flash, innov8 haven't!!!(the one on innov8 good enough for phone)
nokia is the best cellphone manufacturer in the world!!!(what you call best? preformance? quality? have seen pilling of n76, have you seen preformance and quality problem of e66)
nokia have the best cameraphones in the world!!!(who say so? you. ha ha)
nokia have the best smartphones in the world!!!( who say so? you? have you use innov8?)
nokia rules, while samsung is just following, in second place!!!(they all follow as nokia follow iphone with 5800 express)
do not get me wrong i use nokia for 18 years but i am not blind. you must be 12 years person talking like this.
