samsung has made a break through among the big notch companies which were dominant in innovations.But the launching of omnia and innov8 with very less span of time have developed confusion amid the hardcore users. Though ain't am i on the sphere of the so called mentioned users list i find difficult to make a choice on omnia and innov8.
If anyone has made a decision after a similar situation please post me the model purchase and also the reason for. Thank you

uhh, awful battery life, I charge it twice in a day with normal use , and also it takes too much time to charge it. So boring, I just returned my nokia n958gb and waiting n85,

INNOV8 does not install the applicaitons suppose to be made for S60 or signed to Samsung Phone. If I use Nokia Phone and go to another country I can use the internet with SIM card from the country I travel with. But with INNOV8 if i change the provider from same country does not do auto set up and I am told that need to go to shop to set up. I never had to do this with my E66 or N82 before.

If i go sim free i still will need settings but these should be available from voda BUT not necessarily cause i am running n82 but cannot get voda live settings cause they do not support n82 so i cannot buy any tunes cause secure settings and mobile payments do not get accepted and voda live is just a few lines of txts no colour or anything..
I wonder if this fone is just like nokia n82 etc or will some bits be missing cause they are nokia only??
I suppose its series 60 third edition so all my fave apps should work plus my themes by zedge and mobil9 should work.As long as i get yahoo go 3 thats a huge email help plus i use these on n82,,,

Samsung innov8 is just begin of fight between nokia and samsung.Nokia only buying time with N96 but when they answer with N97 or N98 they will show who they really are.The best brand in the world.I'm from Montenegro and i have N95 wich is cheaper and better than innov8.Sorry about bad english :)

brynn, 16 Oct 2008I wonder if set up wizard is nokia only then????I owen Nokia before and travel any where part of world with same SIM card or if change to local SIM card Nokia phoen automaticly configure the connection. But with This phone have problem and it try to do auto but can not find. So, I was ask to bring the phone back to check. IF is not Auto then is useless for me since I travel alot.

I jsut got my INNOV8 yesterday. I have the problem download any applicaiton in to the phone and also problem connect to internet. The phoen does not automaticly configure the internet provider connection. I need to take to shop to get help tomorrow.

At moment using n82 for 10 months but wanting to get new smartfone and down to innov8 and xperia...
My mate at local shop has innovate and we went after he finished at 5.30pm and took same shots at full power with my n82 and his innov8 (he only had 8gb version i would go for 16gb if i buy one)..For starters i am really happy with n82 shots and the n95 8gb beforehand but the innov8 clarifys detail even more..Just imagine looking thru binoculars and getting good focus then using a finer tuning dial and getting it even more focused and clearer well thats the comparison from n82 up to innov8...Its if you believe you cannot go that clear because i was fully confident with the n82 snaps but to go even better is shocking to some degree..
So its stay with symbian and its familiarity for past 6 years or go to xperia with,,cybershot,,walkman,,battery life and big res screen and a refreshing new o/s to learn as a challenge??? Got 6 weeks yet but have ruled out omnia because of no equaliser and after having samsung g600 and its presets plus being bass freak equalisers are a need..Decisions ,,decisions,,but maybe job and world money crisis may put end to it all and end up prepay n82 which i am bored with now...

Tell someone who cares, like over in the N96 section, they can put off buying an that inferior phone until the prototypes come out.
Samsung LG and SonyEricsson have 8 megapixel PRODUCTION models, I wonder how their prototypes are coming along...

XMAN, 15 Oct 2008Thanks striker ..you have made my mind up i have a nokia n9... moreXMAN. I bought INNOV8 jsut last night. I do not have much experiance with Battery life yet but the look and preformance of the phone is great. It is very fast, nice to hold, and video is very fast and look great. Please keep in mind it has 16GB of internal memory plus memory slot.
