already gave my views on different things on this phone but got to say love the fring application with alows you to use msn yahoo skype and other chat sites all from the one aplication you can also send pics videos files using msn on fring and also i have signed up to skype for £2.25 a month which now alows me to make free landline calls anywhere in the uk when i am in a wi-fi hotspot using my i8510 also you can call other skype users without monthy payments

Please tell in what way does it look like a N95?
The camera on this phone is gob smacking. it is by far the best camera on a mobile on the market today.

i had a g600 believing the camera was going to be good quality. it turned out it was rubbish. i like the look of this phone but i dont want to make this mistake again!!! anyone know what type of lense this uses?! is it as good as the cybershot.. because im also interested in the new c905 coming out..

Could anyone pls help !! How do you activate privacy settings on this phone to lock certain applications ie call log, messages, gallery. Could do this on previous samsung phones, thanks in anticipation

Is this not a Nokia N95 8GB with an 8MP sensor thrown in? I cannot see the innovation here! It seems that Nokia have already done all the hard work!
Look; if Samsung want to be innovative, they have to increase the resolution of the screen. For goodness sake it's 2.8 inches! That is too large for QVGA res. The correct resolution should have been VGA. This will now test a company's ability to produce a decent screen, processor and battery. Then combine all three as a smooth running unit!
My second gripe is the 8MP. This clearly signifies the phone has a camera to reckon with. Yet how can you reckon with a camera that has no Xenon flash or optical zoom. Samsung should have at least implemented Xenon flash so that the claimed 8MP can be used in all lighting conditions. There are 24 hours in a day. Samsung should not assume that people only take pictures in the afternoon!!
Nevertheless, I have an N82 but I wanted a bigger screen. On paper this seems to be an improvement on the N95 8GB. So it makes sense to buy this, in preference to the Nokia. I just wish Samsung could have added the aforementioned features. Oh well.... maybe next time!

steve, 22 Sep 2008M lookin into this 1 and the sony c905, any pointers on how... moreHi, ive asked the same question from a few reliable sources and most seems to think the Innov8 is still going to be better when the C905 comes out. Ive been Sony for the past 3 years (3 phones) and only now changed to Samsung. The Innov8 has more to offer me atm, great camera (it is astounding, night quality is affected by lack of xenon flash though), Divx playback, GPS, 16gb memory, wifi. Its a total package and its out now! Guaranteed sony will need a few software updateds to get the camera even somewhere close to being as good...theyre still updating the K850i to iron out the bugs....

I just bought the 8GB version. The phone is AWESOME, Mind Blowing!!!! highly recommended for the Business Class who like to have all the multimedia features too, inbuilt. Superb! nokia N96 is finished!!!!!!

i've never used a samsung before...so i don't know just how tough they are...but this phone is really great...based on the feautres posted of course. here's a neat video from youtube testing samsung phones...drop test that is...try to check it out...samsung seems like a tough phone...

anyway...all in all...if we're going to choose a phone...it will really depend on the features that we need...but so far...for me...this phone has almost all the features i am looking for...for office viewers/editors...i think it can easily be downloaded if it's not yet available...and the only thing i'm thinking this phone could have is a touch screen...though the optical mouse can suffice...plus we have the usual alpha numeric keypad. =)
can't wait to get my hands on this in the Philippines.

Best features...FREAKIN' EXPENSIVE !!!...only Bill Gates and the CEO of Samsung would afford getting this one.
Samsung Innova8=around 1100$
1-14.7 MP Nikon digital camera(not yet released)=400$
2-Nokia N95 8GB=600$
3-iPod Nano=200$
result: Why the hell would i buy this phone if i could buy all those things with it's money ?!...
