Samsung i8510 INNOV8

Having had this phone for a week now on o2 I'm sure I made the right choice of upgrade from my N95. Only 2 negatives I have to mention -
1) The battery is no better than my N95 perhaps slightly worse. Will only last 1 day with fairly heavy usage.
2) Signal strength is a bit suspect. Doesn't hold as well as most Nokia and recent SE handsets. My N95 has full signal almost all the time in my home as does my wifes K850i. The i8510 however can fluctuate quite often.
Having said that I haven't had a dropped call yet.
As the review says on mobile-review.com, there won't be another handset to equal the i8510 until February next year.

On previous models from Samsung (like G800), you cant speak in the phone when using it as modem to a computer. Is it possible with innov8?

What's CPU,maybe Marvell 624 MHz as a 900 OMNIA.

Yes it is better than it, the camera is excellent BUT
Where;s VGA screen?
Where's WIMAX?
Yes the phone is very good but seriously!
It only has the 8mpx cam and fp2 as a plus
SHould have had a TS screen...

This particular Samsung phone runs on the Symbian S60 platform. The same platform that is on all recent Nokia smartphones. only difference between this phone and Nokia N series phones is that this phone feels like $1000 as apposed to any Nokia offereing that feels like cheap Chinese $200 knock off phones. (That's why you can't tell the difference between the "Made in Finland" N96 and the knock off ones you find everywhere). No difference in built quality. Samsung i8510 built quality is #1 in smartphones.

When one company sets a milestone exp.(Nokia's N95 & N95 8GB)You can't help but to automatically compare the new Samsung i8510 innov8 which is in the same league with it. Questions popup for most people like myself as for the $1000+ price range is it worth the upgrade? Or is the 8mp camera that much better? Thats the purpose of these forums. For people to ask questions, give opinions, & share experiances about the mobile phones they like & dislike.I personally am going to buy the new Samsung innov8 as soon as the local retailers in my country supply the 16gb model.

Just wondering....Are you all guys arguing about the Samsung and Nokia, Innov8 and N96, do you get paid from the companies? Do you have shares on either Nokia or Samsung?... I think the purpose of this site and this forum is to give out true opinions not to argue with each other... no to critisize a phone but give our honest opinion after we have any phone in our hands....we are here to help each other and not to fight....

This phone looks better than any smart phone from it's class (N95, N96) and has better features too. It's just a question of reliability now. I haven't get my hands on one yet, I'll wait for some more real tests

When you buy samsung you buy the worst user menu. nokia is the best and SE second.
I hate that you got to press the key 20 times just to send a text mesg.

Couple of questions, Just got mine, what cable do I need to buy to connect this to the tv can someone show me a link? Also there is no manual, just a quick start guide is that normal?! How long do you charge battery for first time?! PLEASE help

this phone beats all features of nokia n96. but, this phone doesn't have a DVB-H TV receiver...
