@ Some1: As one of the people who bought the N95 when it first came out, you summed up their 'disrepect' beautifully!
Nokia messed up, pure and simple; the N96 is way too late for market; the INNOV8 will be out in 3 weeks, the N96 1st October;
Also, it WILL be expensive; expansys.co.uk: N96 on T-Flext 30 is £264.99;
Personally if both phones were out at the same time, i'd get the N96 because Nokia have a better ecosystem and support; but I'm going to get the i8510 instead;
As for the 8GB/16GB issue, Samsung ain't stupid; the 8GB version of the phone will be available free on some tariffs trust me, and if the memory cut bugs you, Play.com are selling Sandisk 8GB microSD SDHC cards for £17. There are 2 advantages to this: 1: Price: according to the Apple school of thought, 8GB of flash memory costs £60; secondly; saving some data to a removable drive means that should your phone die, you can save something!

First of all i have never said that Nokia N95 wasn`t a good phone .I only said his time has passed .And it has ,it has died ,was burried ,and now rots .
Second : Nokia has shown disrespect towards his clients when relesing N95 and after a very short period of time N95 8GB which had a bigger screen ,bigger memory ,bigger RAM ,bigger battery ,heftier price tag thus correcting N95`s flaws .So people who initially bought N95 were quite angry .
Third : When refering to "some tiny details" i was talking about the xenon flash in a reply towars *Anonymous* (NOT refering to the bigger screen ,bigger memory ,bigger RAM ,bigger battery ,bigger price of the N95 which was a reply towards *fonefenatic*].
So as you can see i can`t possibly contradict myself .Cheers

I hear that this phone is released in the UK through Carphone warehouse early in September. Price and network unconfirmed at present.
I also hear that the UK is only getting the 8GB version at release!
I understand the marketing (read greedy money making tactics) strategy behind it but if true, it is hardly fair on the UK. The early adopters should be rewarded for their support of Samsung and not punished in the same way the early adopters of the Nokia N95 were.
I was really going to get this phone, no questions, but if its only going to be the 8GB version then I may hold on for a month or so. I hear LG has a new 8mp camera (with DVD video recording resolution) just around the corner and who knows what else is lurking on the not too distant cellular horizon.

I think that is why people in this world are not happy ... they stumble upon some tiny details and forget about the "big picture"

And what resolution do you r... morei agree with you.. end of the day i aint gunna loose sleep over the matter.. i just think its a shame that what really coulda been a perfect phone is flawed by a pretty big missing detail. its just a pitty to have such a quality camera only to be able to use it at its full potential half the time. thats all.. still a great phone, just not for me.

Just had trining with samsung and asked about this phone and was told they are going to be releasing a better 8MP phone soon wouldn't give anymore info though just said he has seen pic about it

i cant speak for all but my camera is used mostly when im out at night with friends or in poorly lit environments..bars..friends parties..etc..
why would you have such a high quality camera only to be able to properly use it half the time?... seriously makes little sense...wait i know..so when samsung do bring out that 8mp cam with xenon its still gunna sell.

On thing that nokia does is to PATENT everything.,frm covers to batteries.,chipsets to tfts.,and they CELOTAPE everything up and claim NOKIA MADE IT...bt it should b NOKIA ASSEMBLED IT...thats y most china phons are nokia branded...
