GCassa94, 22 Apr 2011I'm in love with this pfone but I read that super amoled's ... moreOLED seems to be, on the surface, the perfect display technology, there are some problems. First of all, even though the red and green LEDs have long lifetimes of 10,000 to 40,000 hours, the blue component suffers high failure rates after about 3,000 - 5,000 hours. It is believed at this time that with refinements in manufacturing technology, this limitation can be overcome fairly quickly, but as it stands now, the entire screen's life is limited by the blue LEDs' life. Also, as of this writing, manufacturing processes are expensive. But like everything else, cost is a direct result of yield. As experience is gained manufacturing these devices, the cost will come down just as it did with LCD. Finally, the OLED matrix is easily damaged by water. Without some way to seal the display in a waterproof outer covering, a spilled soft drink could spell curtains for the display.

Cirez, 04 Mar 2011windows 7 No Copy/Paste No Multitasking No State Ret... moreHi,
Your answer is correct somehow. I have to tell you, although you already now, that WP7 also depends almost 100% on Zune software as IPhone does with iTunes.WP7 also does not have Flash, bluetooth file trasfers (this problem has been partialy solved for iPhone by iBluetooth) and a File Explorer.
So I believe if you take an overview iPhone is more customizable than WP7

Bikky, 15 Mar 2011Hey guys Im looking to get a WP7 in the next 2 months and I... moreWell now, first of all you should now what are the limitations of a WP7 device for the moment, as we all expect Microsoft to fix these so called bugs. You will not have the following:
No Bluetooth transfer for any type of file
            No Flash support for webpages
No Way of setting your own ringtones
No File Explorer or something like this
There is no GPS software yet available for this platform.

If your patience is big enough to wait for these features to come on future updates(we hope so) buy a WP7, it's quite nice, it's modern no matter what brand:all LG,Samsung and HTC have great WP7 devices.

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2011I own this phone for over a month now i gotta say its the b... moreNice that you like your phone. I also have a WP7 phone, not samsung, but HTC, and it's ok, but these new platform phones lack many features because of Microsoft such as OBEX, file manager, no full GPS software available yet, no flash, no java...I mean that these are SmartPHONES not Smart portable gaming devices or music players. I agree, it's ok to have a device that handles very well gaming and music, but the main functions for a smartphone should remain untouched.

If I were to purchase this phone, will I be able to use this on American 3G? And if so, which carrier? Also, will the marketplace and maps be fully functional as if I bought a US phone?

I own this phone for over a month now i gotta say its the best smart phone experience had yet. Kudos to Microsoft! The best thing besides the fluidity and the smoothness of the OS is the wireless sync.

Hey guys Im looking to get a WP7 in the next 2 months and I am currently leaning towards the Omnia 7 as my phone of choice.
Are there any other WP7 handsets I should be considering?
