i have the i8910 for 1 yr nw. at 1st i was not really happy with the phone but once i get used to it, i now enjoy using it. The battery can last on average for 2 days. The camera is amazing with the 8mp,can capture nice pics. Even if it would have been better with windows or Android, this samsung is good to use. However applications for the mobile is not quite easy to find. On overall, it is a great phone

650 h stand-by time is exaggerated. As I said before, I use this mobile 2 days without charging. And as u mentioned, camera quality is really good.
BTW if I had 280 Euro I would be patient and add 30-50 Euro more.And buy a Galaxy S.(I knew there is Galaxy S2 and I want it so bad. But it is 550 Euro."Economical issues" :-< )
All in all, I just want to say that I8910 HD is a very good mobile. But it gets older and older since 2009. In 2 years we have seen much better phones which have Android( it will be enough NOT having Symbian :-> ) and 1 ghz processor with 512 mb RAM..
If I had a second chance to spend my money, I would definitely choose ANDROID based phone.
I8910 had good "hardware" specifications (for 2009) but Symbian sucks :-

dear experts, I'm very much interested in buying this set but have few reservations, as this mobile is quite slow moreover, its battery is also very short life....it needs to be charged almost everyday whereas on the web it's said it can be used for 650 hours stand by and talk time is 13 hours but i believe it can hardly be 3 hours or maximum 4 hours. it's camera is superb with hd quality.

I'm very pleased with the stand-by time. battery lasts "2 days" while using SPB in "lowest" display brightness. at least you don't need to charge your phone "every day". SPB doesn't consume so much RAM.( by the way, I use my phone mostly for SMS and calls, and 1-hour web browsing with wi-fi in a day)
if you wanna do much more than this ( e.g games-applications-gps etc.) you are going to charge it every day. ( I heard that iphone users charge their phones everyday even if they don't use as much as me.) so it will be normal if you are going to charge everyday. today's battery technology is not enough at all.

(I know it sounds like i'm complaining about everything)
( I feel like i'm annoying )
The lifestyle layout when i set its wallpaper it's like it's zoomed in at 400% or something never showing more than third of the wallpaper whatever its size i mean it looks ugly,
On the other hand the professional layout only wallpapers are set as the wallpapers in the original mobile standby theme no exaggerated zooming which tells me it's not like a bug or something with the spb shell.
Anyway at least i got numerous widgetable layouts even if they're all have the same wallpaper.
I know i showerd you with questions the past week :(
I wanted to ask you , how is the consumption of power & ram while using the (spb shell) at least from your own experience & usage ?

I think we can not use different wallpapers in the same layout.
But I use "professional" layout and the "basic" one at the same time.
You can use "2 different wallpapers" by this way. If you swype your finger up or down, you can change the layouts. I mean u can change professional to basic or vice-versa..
Swype left or right= same layout but different screens of it.
Swype up or down= different layouts (basic or prof.)
( I know I didn't express myself properly but try to swype up or down. it provides you to change layouts if you choose using both of them from the options(settings).. so you must activate this option from settings )

I tried (spb shell v.3.7.6) on my current phone (se vivaz) & as you described it's perfect , it's very customi-zable although i'd have loved more than 1 wallpaper to be set on the layouts i use the prof. Layout i chose 3 layouts but all of them are the same wallpaper i mean i changed every layout with it's own widgets but if i could only set differant wallpaper to each layout

I have had this phone about 14 months and have had to replace the touch panel twice, which is not covered under the phone warranty. Also runs on Symbian which has no apps support anymore, and while the camera is good I find I have to use Sports mode to take a photo otherwise it is blurry. I had high hopes for this phone but it has not been a good experience and I don't think I would get a Samsung again.

sorry bro but u need to format ur phone..(if u want to use it just like the "first day")..there are no antivirus programs that have enough efficiency. so formatting is the only way to get rid of this problem.

2)I've just tried 720 x 480 and I can say that it works really good. (FPS=30 same as 640 x 480)
3)Image quality is very good. It will satisfy you too.
I usually use 5 MP and if u don't shake or vibrate the phone then u will get a really smooth result. also u won't need 8MP..5MP is enough to capture nice photos..
4)I can't say anything about the widgets cause I'm not using Samsung Touchwiz UI 2.0. I use SPB MobileShell..I guarantee u, it is better than any other UI. and also it provides more personalization.( not an advertisement :-> )

1-can you pre-focus while capturing photos (half press then fully press the camera key to take a photo for better details) ?
2-does the answer you gave me (thanks a lot by the way) apply to the 720x480 resolution as well ?
4-can you put newly installed applications widgets in the widgets bar as shortcuts ?
3-how is the image quality ?

I got both my phones on a plan so didn't have to sell one just renewed my contract.
The screen on the S2 is fantastic, I usually have the brightness down to save battery as I use it so much but every time I turn it back on(brightness control is on, off or auto) I get wowed all over again. I have sat it next to Mrs's Galaxy S and the difference is amazing.
Brightness 9/10, Colour/Contrast 9/10, Viewing angle 10/10.
Camera is very good and Android is so much better than Symbian which was i8910's let down. I have so many Games and Apps now.
