Great phone in its day still better than most on the market. I've recently upgraded to galaxy s2 and had people want to buy my HD but will never sell it will always be my first baby.

i was wondering if i reduced the resolution to vga 640 x 480 not hd 720p which it's main feature but does that make the frame rate higher & overcome the omnia hd frame rate problem?
My point is: does lowering the resolution make the frame rate higher ??
Low resolution = high fps?

It has huge functionality in camera and amoled display of 3.7" also the samsung own interface. Software or theme availability is a problem but u can sign and install most of those by creating free account on http://cer.opda.cn site login> put imei details and request for certificate and the key, for free users they will generate the same in 5 working days and you can sign any N8 themes/ software and install. Most of them will work.. Enjoy your OMNIA. And Taste the True HD features. Believe me its superior than N8.

hey i'd love an answer for this question: can you assign a shortcut to an application that's installed newly on the phone ( PUT THAT NEWLY INSTALLED APP ON THE WIDGETS BAR ) say for an example a new application "game" or "zip manager" or "powermp3" or "opera v10.1" that you can choose from a list of availible widgets other than the web based widgets
Please answer me asap cuz i wanna buy it soon & i'm waiting just for this

any i8910 OHD user is welcome to help me with this i've been thinking of buying but need to know some stuff
1:can the camera key be half pressed then release for better details ?
2:what's the rom capacity for the 16GB ver. ?
3:do videos really look bad due to the dropping below the frame rate or duplicating frames ? or it's not that obvious ? or more importantly did samsung fix that problem in newly produced (i8910 OHD)handsets ?

if a (must do) copmarison be made then:
Vivaz edges OHD with(continous autofocus)&(looks,weight,sexy LEDs like blackberry) which i find not that big deal unless you value "looks" & "LEDs" more than a superior touchscreen in size & response + stereo speakers + battery 2G.
(P.S) OHD only disadvantage in my opinion is it's
(looks & weight)

Well…I am using this phone from last 1 yrs, no problem yet, but yes OS sucks,
Everyone have their own opinion, but I will say good phone. Compare to 2010 to 2011
Phones. Only problem is u will not find any software compatible on it easily, not even themes, antivirus …etc, some time it is heart breaking. Anyway I love using it. In India support for this Phone is Zero%.so be careful.

I have my Omnia Hd for 10... moreIf you use Vodafone service,just go to Vodafone website and go for help then select MMS then select the model of your phone and enter your phone number there,it will send you msg that you need to download,once you download you need to install just pressing next button then switch off your phone and turn on again and that's it you will have your MMS set correct for Vodafone users only...

Selected two 8910 phones when we went to a new carrier, looked great according to the blurb. Amazing screen, the rest of the phone is absolute rubbish. Random resets, dropped calls, slowest image browser on earth and now no PC connectivity. No support from Samsung, I'm throwing these two bits of crap away and going with anything BUT Samsung.

You are right, people forgot this good phone :(
This beauty device remember me to great actions from 2009. and 2010. !

After OHD, my next phone is great device, Wave...
Now I have Galaxy S, but, soon I MUST bought SGS2 :)

Folks I hope one of you can help. I have my Omnia Hd for 10 months now. Recently though I tried establishing the setting for MMS as it never worked properly since here in Trinidad the provider never gave the correct settings for MMS for this phone. Anyway since I edited one of the Access MMS points I became unable to open a new access point or even edit any access points in the DESTINATION sub folder. Also, I cannot edit my e-mail boxes and can no longer send or receive an e-mail. Further, the phone freezes if I try several times to open an access point....Any idea on a possible resolve will be appreciated.
