william, 24 Feb 2010hi pls help me how 2 install hx 2.02 step by step i buy thi... morebattery dies fast because:
1. gps receiver is on
2. may be bluetooth is on
3. wifi scan is on
4. brightness display level is high, need to lower it.

flashing to hyperx 2.02 :
1. go to http:// www.hyperx.allroms.net/?page_id=335
and download the files
2. soft and hard reset the phone
3. hold "up volume button" + "lock button on the right" + " power on button" ----this turns the phone to blue screen.
4. open the flashing rom program, connect the phone, and FLASH THE FIRMWARE!

    The phone itself is a masterpiece, havent had any single hardware issue within the last 8 months from the purchase...
    But the problem is unlike other s60 nokia devices it has VERY VERY poor support from samsung...No official firmware update and virtually no third party softwares can be installed on this device without hacking it first...
    BUT, you could easily debrand and/or hack ur device to get 90% of nokia s60 5th apps and getting proper unofficial firmwares which are easily available for free...

          wat is the difference n 2.02 main and 2.1 speed...
          I think they both r same...

But i saw that 2.1 spe... moreThe 3d taskmanager the 3d view of the open apps that comes up when you hold down the middle button. Its already in main 2.02 the one that you have. For someone like you 2.02 is the best because speed has alot of apps missing and no 3d navigation.

                    how come you guys keep on discussiong about software
                    and firmware hack.. is the Sony Satio not capable with
                    this. Why the particular i8910 when all of the use
                    the same Symbian 60 Version 3?

                      Does this means that it has 3d multitasking and 3d navigation...

                          maryse, 24 Feb 2010later i will put hx 2.02... they r empty patches but if ... moreMaryse, are you sure that your computer is running windows XP? Remember install Microsoft’s MS XML first than install the i8910 HD Flashing drivers, thats the one that says SSDN_V1.1.808.7165_SETUP_whql.exe. You have to restart your com now. Dont install any other files other than those two. Start the HyperX firmware at this point you should be able to click on the start button because you already did the soft and hard resets. Disconnect and shutdown the phone Go to the blue screen, than connect the phone and click start. Hope this helps.

                            now wat is this... i recently flashed omnia to 2.02..

                            now here the game said that 2.01 speed is cumming with 3d taskmanager... now wat is task manager.. also i saw on hx website that this is cumming with new music player theme...

                                when i will do that i will tell u... i again downloaded hyperx.rar..

                                these files still says that wrong os.

                                    i8910 (since I still don't have the unit and deciding
                                    whether to get one).. if you have long names like
                                    Jay Biden Samley, can you find the contact by
                                    entering any of the 3 words? In the Nokia N82, you
                                    can do that... how about the i8910 with a higher
                                    symbian version interface?

When I installed my drivers last time , nobody can gif me clear answer which 2 install so I installed everything in the folder which ended with .exe . . . . Mayb u can gif tat a try ....LOL

                                        yeah its xp...

                                        one more thing u told me to reinstall everything... i did... but there r two files when i click them they installs and then say that WRONG OS OR OS VERSION APPLICATION...

                                        these files r

                                        instmsia.exe and instmsiw.exe

                                        these files install and at the end says wat i wrote above...

                                        i hav installed everything... installed other hx firmwares too.. they all show empty...
