Rohit is right, why hard reset the phone simply for freeing memory ?? do one thing, install FE xplore or Y - browser and then check out your C drive.. Apps like antivirus and other system apps generally install on C drive, even if we select E.. I think clearing cache should do it but dont hard reset your phone for this, you will lose everything thats on your phone..
FOR ALL OTHERS,
there is a trick for increasing your phone memory by 5 MB..
Deep down in the dungeons of the Symbian system folders sits a 5 MB placeholder file called reserved.bin. This space is only used if you do an "over the air" firmware update. If you update your phone from your computer, you don't need this file and you can delete it to gain five extra megabytes of phone memory.
You'll need a hacked phone and a Symbian file manager like Active File or X-plore.
1) Make sure your phone is hacked, "caps" are switched off.
2) Use a Symbian file manager like Active File or X-plore and navigate to C:\Private\102072c4.
3) Delete the file reserved.bin.
4) Make an empty text file called reserved.txt and drop it into C:\Private\102072c4.
Even if you dint make that file, it will be created automatically after a reboot..

I think u can help me out in this problem... as i rea... morei just hard reset my phone and then i had 43.5MB free in the phone memory.. but i wouldnt advice you to do the same just to free memory.. you probably have lot of files on your phone memory.. or loaded most of your apps there.. or you've done loads of browsing and the cache must be quite huge.. you could try clearing that like harsh said.. else, i'm not really sure what's occupying so much space in your phone memory..
anyway, if u do venture into doing a hard reset, do take a backup of your phone first, just in case you need to revert back.. the hard reset would remove practically everything that u loaded onto your phone..

mine is alwaz around 40 MB free.. Nevr faced such a problem.. Try clearing cache.. It wil surely increase free memory.. Clear the log.. Try it out n tell me if it helped.

My phone is hacked... But all the apps r on mass memory... Also route 66 is installed.. If its because of route 66 then plz let me know... Plz.

sorry to disturb but frnds my problem is not regarding omnia hd its regarding nokia n86,actually i had tied up posting my this problem in nokia n86's every forum but all in vain,so i thought if u boys can help me,actually i wanna rename my application [ resco photo viwer ] to ''images'' so that who ever wants to see my photos should click on it instead of gallery coz it much much much better and fast then the default gallery,can anyone help me how i can rename it,coz applications doesnot have rename options.help plz i m posting this problem for past 1 months here and there but nothing happens

The issue with u not receiving any voicemail notification may be a network thing since i always get that notice.....the caller id issue, may mean that both numbers were saved under the same name "wife office" check it out under contacts.....if not then just delete both entries and re-enter them it may help

There isnt any way to reduce that feature, samsung didnt design the video gallery with history or cache feature.....the only way to get to videos quicker is by going through media browser

I think u are referring to the lifetime licence for the voice navigator of the Nokia 5800 navigator version.....i'm not sure if there is an ovi maps version with that lifetime license....but u will be able to install ovi maps,ovi store and ovi chat

To all Omnia hd people, I would like to say THANKS in advance for helping me to this problem... First of all, since I bought this phone I never received any VOICEMAIL notification always stated MISSED CALL...I have a lot of missed message in my voicemail recently and the phone never give me some voicemail icon/sign. just like when you receiving SMS text it will give you that "envelope icon" that stated you have NEW SMS txt. Do you think the phone has the problem or my network(Tmobile).
Second, all my missed call number won't registered. For instance, when my wife call from her office and I never picked up, it will register WIFE'S OFFICE in my "MISSED CALL" log but when my wife call her from her cellphone instead WIFE'S PHONE it will appear on the "MISSED CALL" WIFE'S OFFICE. So in able to check that out I'm doing the long process which I go to TOOLS>LOG>INCOMING/OUTGOING tab? too much hassle. I'm very happy with my Omnia hd and I'm using this phone for almost 4 months..I wish somebody help me on this...or probably I will try to switch to SE X2 if this problem won't resolve(SAD!!!).
P.S. I just got to my voicemail and I have 32 new/unoped messages since I got the phone..BUMMER =(

let me tell u bro dnt use video player,use real player coz it takes less time to refresh than video player,at present i have 2 hd movies [ 2.5 gb ],15 hd songs [3 gb] and my own recorded hd vedios of 1 gb,but still realplayer takes only 3 sec. to refresh

i restored factory settings, just to see if the parasitic advanced device lock would leave my HD, but it didn't.. so i did a hard reset and now, my phone is good as new! thank you guys!
oh, by the way, i still have my dictionary and samsung LBS apps on the phone.. didn't lose anything.. and surprisingly, the dictionary was still at the word i'd searched for last.. hehe..

i just installed skyfire too.. seems pretty good.. just that sound (volume) settings are not too great, as in, if i'm seeing a video, it's either loud or off (tried using the volume keys).. didn't find a volume adjusting thing.. also, i wasn't able to change the screen to landscape mode.. where do u do it?
