Wole, 08 Jan 2010I've been trying to download the update via samsung thru pc... moreI think my problem might be the internet setting as I don't yet have sercive with the phone so I am using offline mode. My phone is branded to orange so I am wondering if just hacking will resolve any issues orange branding might be causing with connection as I've noticed despite my efforts default connection is thru their network? I am sure i am doing something stupid (sleepy) so please help

I've been trying to download the update via samsung thru pc studio (uk version) but i keep getting an error message: "the connection between the phone and pc has been updated." update never completes. What am I doing wrong? Btw should I hack the phone first or it's fine to update first? Thanks all

you should go outdoor, hold ur phone in ur hand(preferably not moving) then run the application and wait for some minutes till ur device find at least 3 satelites and lock up...
then u should be able to get ur destination and satelite info

i use the I8910XXII2 firmware....its faster than the others but not that impressive...its just got a few special features...like u are able to use the 5.1 surround ......that u can only get with earphone on other firmwares....... with the built in speakers....a limited apps store and that about it

the portrait qwerty keyboard comes with an app not a firmware update...in all honesty its the better than the original qwerty....i just a lil gettin used too...i use it actually...it really cool...

Until symbios finishes his compliation you will probably have to search old posts like I currently am. Btw there was a post a while ago I remember seeing that said something about possibly messing up the camera permanently so I strongly recommend looking for that, though if I find it I will re-post it.

is it the phone or my firmware that does have the QWERTY keyboard on the vertical view?? it only has QWERTY on landscape view..... right? but i have seen videos on Youtube with QWERTY on vertical view also.
is it the firmware?? will it b fixed with the global update?
