To hard reset the phone just dial *#7370#....this is a factory reset.....im not sure why ur phone froze after opening the app

This phone kicks N97's A$$ ....
I have used both ... It is way way better....
better ram 256mb better camera better video better touchscreen better bigger screen (AMOLED) .. 3d hardware , better processor , and nice Useable UI... unlike shitty and jerky N97 ......
Drawbacks :
i miss n97 qwerty .
FM transmitter
Solid build and was sexy ... (omnia looks like China Set copy :P but m mostly interested in what a phone can do and it suits my needs .. atleast it doesnt hang like n97 or gets slow)

I got the omnia HD today, and after a few hours of using it, i tried to open a application that used java (whihc worked previously) but this time the phone froze, and reset it self. but upon restarting the phone shows the loading bar, and it stays there about 2 minutes and then just freezes. i have no idea what to do. is there a way to hard reset the phone or anything? i am rather worried, since i just got it today.

those site have good cases for i8910...but in my opinion this is the best protection for the i8910

THe i8910HD can play Ngage, The unfortunate thing is that the "secman v1.1" which is needs to turn off "platform security" and install "the "root certificate" for the app to run almost full screen...doesnt work on the i8910....hence the app would appear in the top right hand corner of the screen(like 1/4 on the screeen) and the only way to navigate through its interface is too use a bluetooth/wireless controller....if someone could hacke the Ngage platform or develop a patch which would turn off platform security then it would run almost full screen like it does on the 5800.......i have installed Nokia Ovi Store/Ovi Chat/Ovi Mail/Ovi MAps on my i8910 and they work just like they do on Nokias....so with a lil tweaking Ngage can too

Like most of u , I dun really understand Samsung or what the hell is the head of the company thinking ...Alot of their superb products including hp is only 4 their country . When NOkia and SE r launching 2 mpx camera back in 2005 ( N70 , N90 , K750 , etc .....) , Samsung launched their 5pmx and 8mpx camera phones in Korea . We didnt get 2 c it coz its only 4 their network there . Maybe if there is a Korean here or anyone with a knowledge of Korea's network , he/she might explain y we cant use their hp outside their country . I manage to use the 8mpx version back then when I went over 2 Korea for my holiday . Put it this way , its unlike any 8mpx we seen today . Its actually a camera with a hp built on to it . Imagine the lenses zooming in and out like an ordinary camera . I was also told Samsung was the 1st hp manufacturer that launches colour screen hps . True or not I dunno but I think is for sure , I was using a Samsung colour screen back in 2002 even b4 Nokia launches its 7650 , around the same time Motorola lauches its V70 . Sorry , cant remember the model for the Samsung but I still remember it being a flip phone

U can actually install N-gage games on it with a little bit of efford ...Put it this way , whatever application NOkia has , u can get it installed into your Omnia . Camera cover ? Hm....y bother if u r careful . Besides , look at N97 . The cover itself is scratching the lense ...LMAO

Wole, 06 Jan 2010I sometimes wonder why samsung haven't pushed this phone as... moreAgree wl u bro, Omnia HD still superior over other smartphones in some aspects especially during the time when i8910 was released it was generation ahead of all smartphones. I wish samsung will introduce another i8910 similar smartphone with even enhanced features, perhaps OMAP series 4 processor (dual core wl 1 ghz) so that 720p video recording will be even better plus of course the rest of great multi media rich & productivity features. I think there is nothing wrong with Symbian running on it as long as they keep upgrading the symbian and develops more apps. Symbian is an open source platform just like Android.

there is pixon 12 but reason 2 buy that would b just 12mp camera with xenon flash....no symbian.

i like n73 coz its symbian & d best hacked phone after moto e398....
symbian softwares completely transform mobiles as per our needs.....
ive used n 958gb too, saw friends n97 but its huge...
i trust nokia, samsung is somewat new so wont dare 2 buy that soon....
and n86 is the only 8mp shooter in nokia family.
