      free full version ovi maps!!!!!

      1. download ovi map app at www. dotsis.com/mobile_phone/showthread.php?t=192643
      -install this first

      2. download "map loader" at http://europe.nokia.com/explore-services/ovi-maps/downloads-and-services
      -this process takes 45mins-1hr

      nokia ovi map is very good. cheers!!!!

        Can anybody tell me if any call recorder software may be installed on Samsung Omnia HD ? I have tried a few but the call voice goes off while recording? Please Help.

            Bought this phone two weeks ago

            Good things: the only HD phone which can record videos and has a 3.7 inch display with stunning sound and video.
            Good speed
            Loads of features esp multimedia.
            10 times better than N97.

            BAD:

            Bad battery life
            Dark Camera images esp one taken during night - u have to adjust the white balance for each session to make images brighter.
            Sometimes u have to press the icon twice and sometimes it works on one click - strange.
            Not many applications availabel to install esp there is no skype for this phone - the skype installable on this phone has only chatting options not calling.
            Signal receptor is weak compared to Nokia phone.Sometimes the signal goes out although there is signal on other phones.

            This is what i experienced. I live in Riyadh and bought this phone for 2500 Saudi Riyal. Thats 9375 USD.

                it's ringing but i face the same problem to.
                i dont knwo what's wrong

                    My firm ver is the same bro (JVIF6) i didnt flash it yet cause i have no serious problem with it except the bad sound quality on video shooting...
                    But recently, 'xxx' here posted some links of flashing/hacking tools and tips just check the previous page u will find it
                    I myself preferred to wait a while to get the official update...i dont wanna loose the warranty and the farsi language pack,lol
                    whats ur problem with it by the way?
                    could u just tell me where did u buy it and how much? and 8 or 16G??

                          I downloaded three preinstalled(dic., LBS and asphalt4) 3 mounth ago from their samsungmobile official site but i dont know why they removed them!! they were just below the pc studio on their dowmload page...
                          maybe theyre not compatible with the new firmwares!!!

                          theyre three zip files including installation manual,

                          "note that the dictionary doesnt have an installer, u should copy/paste those DAT files to a specific folder described in the manual"

                              please can someone help me with the e-mail setting of this phone do i use POP3 or do i use Imap what is the incoming and outgoing server for yahoo mail, plz help. Thanks for the good work.

                                Hey Guys,

                                Its been awhile, but i was busy trying to find some webpages with lots of S60v5 apps/software/games etc. I'll post some links later on! I have hard reset my handset so it is at factory default, i'll be flashing it soon! I think we should all sign the petition and lets see if we can make our voices heard! We keep complaining in here, so lets complaint out loud!

                                    For Samsung to live up to its promise to maintain, improve and fix problems with the Samsung i8910/Omnia HD. We paid a lot for this device and we expect as much back. If not with Android, at least to fix the firmware/software problems so we get what we put down our hard earned money for.
