I think i8910 is better than n8 in all aspects except the camera and the flash,it has larger display better sound quality,longer battary life and awesome design.
the worst about i8910 is the fingerprints on its glass surface.go for it but change the original samsung frame were with hyperx or fainel and use the spb shell application that will make you phone far better

bodi, 28 Oct 2010I love this phone the video quality is premium but the pics... morehi, guys this fone has greater capabilities than 70% of new phones... video is great, 30fps will be awailable in next firmware HX, and photo quality is better than factory firmwares google and see it yourself... n8 is expencive peace of sh.t

afd-dias, 28 Oct 2010After flashing my i8910 with hx v8 , i can´t use the ... moreyou may have to go to a different ROM im afraid for now i remember my first rom flash and java did not fully work,every time i put on another java app the last java app went..i have sold my i8910 for the n8 .

i have a samsung i8910 ,, its very powerful & i like it,, it have a very clear image with its 8mega pixel,, wowwwww..... enJoY frnd !!! :)

After flashing my i8910 with hx v8 , i can´t use the internet browser via WAP and no SMS messages ! Message: "packet data connection not available " even i contact my ISP (Tim Brasil) and they told me that there everynthing is available ! Someone have any hints or solution for this ! Thanks in advance for any help !

Symbios, 24 Oct 2010But on the other hand an Android device may be worth a try ;)hmmm, bro let me tell u n8 defeats each n every hands in camera section, but its seems like a 1 year old phone specifications wise. it has a weak speaker.screen size is small. no led flash,weak processor and ram. ok stop it here. i m waiting for desire hd. u go for n8. then we will discuss about both the handsets. hahaha

The Nokia N8 is an upgrade from the OmniaHD! Name one device which has all the multimedia strength of the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD! The Nokia N8! If you bought the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD for what it can do, then buying any device apart from the Nokia N8 will served to be less than adequate! The Nokia N8 has picked up where the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD left off and improved where it failed! I admit its not the best device available, but it is the best multimedia device available! The iPhone, Samsung Epic 4G, HTC Desire HD and any other iOS or Android device will hands down beat the N8 at web-browsing, texting, user-friendliness, speed and power but most of these devices lack basic smartphone functionality such as bluetooth file transfer, poor loudspeaker output, browser flash support, no file manager, no memory card slot, no desktop client like Ovi Suite, Poor reception, OTA upgrades and updates, UDP [user data preservation], no multitasking and restricted media formats! I can't sacrifice any of these basic functions just to have a smooth UI experience! Its an unfair sacrifice too me....i'll stick with symbian and MeeGo! So i'm getting the Nokia N8!

Symbios, 18 Oct 2010Umar Khan No one can say that Android or iOS are no good... moreman, i was also going for n8 but after holding my teacher's n8 in my hand, i came to the conclusion that it is just an omnia hd with xenon flash and weak music strenght. and also the xenon is not that much powerful unlike n82's xenon flash that was a gaint xenon. so i suggest u to wait for htc desire hd. i will definetely go for desire hd.

i used it for 1 week now and its great , really fast and have a lot of eye candy ;)

The phone uses standard Java, Sis, Sisx, Wgz which I think is the wigit flash type applications.
Many of Nokia files & themes work S60 V5. Mobilesmania is a good site for software, themes and other support.

I love the I8910, I've been using the N95 for 3 years previously. Buying the i8910 in 2010 is currently affordable, while i think its hardware is better that many of Nokia's high end devices which cost three times as much. Together with the benefits of custom firmware helps a great deal. With some additional tweaks, using OVI maps & other nokia software is easy.
Battery power like with the N95 is a slight issue however i get much better performance with the I8910 with much better, A day's use of the camera, video recording, gps, calls etc & it lasts without having to worry too much about the power running out, just charge at the end of the day & your all right.
I have to say samsung appears to be the letdown while the development community (hx & others) has kept the phone going.
I think a few final improvement & a few ports of symbian 3 functions could keep this phone going for years instead of having to get those new fancy expensive devices. It would have been nice to have symbian 3 on this as the phone is quite capable but its probably too much work to develop this.
If i stayed with Nokia, I might have got the X6 which in comparison is more expensive & inferior device. Thankfully samsung released this phone which was in its time miles ahead of the rest & still is in many ways.
