the opera mobile 10 works like a charm.. doesnt crash like the mini 5.. and has very similar features.. password manager, tabs etc. man! if only it had full flash support :(

one problem is that when you receive MMS, the picture size automatically reduced to 7kb max. There is no setting or adjustment you can do to fix this problem. you can't see the picture with 7kb.

Hello All,
I jst got my Omnia HD Last week, n would like to update you quickly.
1.I've bought it in dark purple colour(so colour options have come in,earlier it was only black)
2.If u hav fingerprint smudging all over your phone,jst get a lens cleaning cloth from a camera store.It really wipes it sparkling clean without any scratches in a few strokes,without any liquid(btw. it is a thin leather cloth costing an inexpensive 15 Rs.)
3.If you do want to cover your phone (with film) u might want to checkout gadgetshieldz.com, excellent & inexpensive.
4.My cell does not have "tunnel converstaion effect" reported on earlier phones.Maybe samsung solved it.
5.I got it for 25,650 INR (brand new,warranty & bill)
theres some more n ill be posting it soon,kinda short of time right nw.

rohit, 06 Nov 2009oh.. i use the inbuilt task manager.. the one you get on ho... morehey rohit i m using third party task man v.old version which u ll not find on the net,it replaces the omnia hd task man [means just press and hold menu key and it appears],and i m damm sure it will stunn u interms of its looks and features,omnia hd task man stands nowhere to it,i m using it for past 4 years when i was having nokia n93 than on nokia n95 than on e90 and now on omnia,i had seen many third party task man but no one was worth to replace it even its new rediculous version,n u know what it draind only 15 kb of ram,if u r interested i can tell u about its awesome features. n remember its v.v fast

ya frnd this led flash is more powerful than other led flashs like the flash of nokia n93,n95,n96 but it equals e90's flash,and one more thing it is even powerful than the dual flashs of sony k750,nokia 6303,and many other dual led flashs.

ya jai u can store ur nokia msgs to yhe omnia like i did,just open ur inbox through nokia pc suite copy all msgs to a folder on ur pc,then when ever u wanna copy ur msgs to omnia just connect omnia with the pc suite given with the omnia got to msgs and just simply copy paste the msgs to omnia simple, i had transfered my msg from nokia n93 to n95 then nokia e90 and now the same msgs to omnia hd its v. simple

I bought my Omnia HD today. YIPPiiii…
Finally managed to overcome all my apprehensions and did it. I just want to express my sincere appreciation to ALL the active members on this site who are doing a great job in spreading awareness and treating the very widespread “IT’S NOT A NOKIA PHONE” PHOBIA.
Had it not been for this forum and the amazing discussions/informations shared herein, I would have had some crappy over priced Nokia in my hands today (What happened to you Nokia- Why can’t you come out with something really good?). With all the great features that already are there, the only thing that I was worried about was the lack of a xenon flash. You already know that I am a previous N82 user which had a great xenon: so I think that it makes me qualified enough to comment on the Omnia HD LED Flash.
Now hold your breath guys……

I was short for words when I flashed it the first time. I almost had to close my eyes. (Readers do not think that I am exaggerating coz I own it). Thus my main fear is over. It already is the Grand-dad (as already proved) of all phones and this LED flash is a good substitute for a Xenon (I can’t say about other LED Flashes in the market; what a relief- It’s VERY BRIGHT). Xenon supporters like me (till yesterday) you can be rest assured that the LED is just fine and gives good close up shots in the dark + We have light for videos which I earlier missed in my Nokia. The HD video recording gave a good first impression, though I will reserve my comments till I play more with it.
Last but not the least, I want to give a special thanks to Rohit, who took time to give detailed answers to my 2 page long questionnaire (many days back on this forum) and gave me enough confidence to go for this wonderful device.

hamid, 06 Nov 2009Exactly, but remember dont restore ur nokia phone's specifi... moreMake sure ur back up files are from the phone memory, or if ur contacts or messages are stored on ur memory card move them to ur phone memory(if theres enough space) before u back up ur nokia,
then set ur omnia hd contacts and messages storage to the phone memory before u restor them back from ur pc, to store them on the right directory and to avoid missing anything...
BTW, i found all of my messages restored on the "Drafts" folder,lol but u can move them anywhere u like later...
But contacts restored on where they should be...

confused, 06 Nov 2009but are they using the same ui?? are they both on par in te... moreIn terms of sensitivity, the omnia hd is better as it's got a capacitive screen as compared to the pixon which has a resistive screen. therefore the touch on the omnia will be much more responsive with no failed or hardly any failed touches, this only works with your fingers. The resistive screen, you can use any thing to use the touch capabilty but its not very responsive. Go a bit further back in the comments and you will see that a comparison has been made between most phones including this one.
