jonade, 04 Oct 2009if you are looking for good battery life and good music qua... moreyeah, N97 has better bass through headphones, but hd has better IMD+noise, both volumes are loud enough.
Many samsung(and some LG) phones ive seen in the reviews have a bit lower bass than their competitors, i dont know why but maybe they think loud bass could damage your hearing or maybe Koreans are BASS HATERS,LOL.
AND if you realy want a music phone go for the iphone its a class leading music phone
But this phone's audio quality is not bad at all, its far better than many phones ive had like: N95, N73, SE k800, SE W810,...
You wont notice this issue if you dont compare it to a e.g ipod touch 2G.
plug your favorite headphones in it then you will love how it sounds
BTW, i would be more happy if there was a custom settings for the equalizer

Meanwhile Nokia has better software support than Samsung.

I had an enjoyable weekend exploring my newly acquired Omnia HD. Nokia, though the pioneers of Symbian, must get a hint or two from Samsung as to processor speed and how to ensure smooth transitions between screens and menus. I owned an N97 for one day last month, but returned it. Other than being slow, the transitions between menus seemed to stall, flicker and hesitate. Well done Samsung!
HOWEVER,
I do have a problem with my Omnia HD.
The glossy back and sides are toooooo smooth and tooooo slippery. The phone keeps wanting to slip from my hands, and it did once. I am thinking of sticking some Velcrow stickers, custom cut, on the back and sides as pleasantly as I can manage. I wish this machine had a similar back cover to the BlackBerry Bold.
Other than that, NO COMPLAINTS!

i must admit that samsung phones have one of the best signal strength!!!!
the bad thing about this phone is it has limited 3rd apps!!!!!!!
Iphone, I can get all apps for freeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently got the omnia and love it. But it keeps telling me memory full and there is still 13gb left. Anyone know how i can fix this?

I currently have this samsungi8910HD, and telling the truth, i havent had any single issue with its reception quality. its even fAAAAAAAAaar better then my ex n95(i live in poor network reception area).
I think those retard nokia sellers trying to full you to not to buy any samsung.
I bet they told you samsung has bad signal strenght than nokia in iran, isn' it?LOL
trust me guys this phone is a "masterpiece".

I own the Jabra 620 .. use it daily., works flawlessly and answer phone calls and the music starts automatically after I hang up.
All controls are a tap away on the headset. including advancing to the next song in your playlist.

Omnia HD has no control onplay back using the headphones supplied by them. If I replace the headphones set with the iphone or othere then is is possible to control the playback?
