Soulchild_71, 09 Sep 2009Why do you think the Pixon 12 should cost so much more than... morei see what your saying, and i agree and thanks for your personal opinion, but i figure samsung pixon 12 would cost more because of its spec's and yes we do know the full spec's its here on gsmarena. im really wanting to buy this but when i saw teh samson pixon 12 is out and only $100 more than this i thought well maybe i should wait and buy the samsung pixon 12 instead of this samsung omnia hd. but from what im reading about the samsung pixon 12 users say the only thing thats they really like is just the camera, they say the phones is crap but the camera is excellent.

We dont even no the full specs yet. So far the only thing that seems better is the flashes on the camera and I have seen nothing that says that it can shoot and play hd content. The i8910's screen is 6mm bigger i'll take that any day over a few more pixels. The i8910 has way more storage and a bigger battery.

i got my omnia hd for 1 week now,... everything is fine but i cant connect my phone to my laptop using bluetooth... it only can be connect by usb wire... can anyone help??? thanks in advanced

i dont understand why the samsung pixon 12 is only $100 more than this phone. weird. cause i want to buy this but not sure because if samsung pixon 12 is only $100 more im wondering which is better, ive read that the phone is crap but camera is excellent on samsung pixon 12. thing is ive read mostly good things about this omnia hd, which i would think the samsung pixon 12 would be better than this but from users reviews its not. hmm.

Samsung has released a firmware update for its powerful I8910 Omnia HD smartphone. The version I8910XEII1 (custom version: I8910SERII2) packs new features such as the 3D TaskSwitcher, one finger zoom, better (more spaced out) on-screen QWERTY keyboard, updated Flash Lite, updated XviD codecs, new widget engine along with several new widgets pre-installed (weather forecast, dictionary, uTalk).
Apparently, at the moment, this firmware upgrade is for those living in Hong Kong and Russia, only. However, I’ve no doubts Samsung will roll it out for the rest of the world in no time…

In symbian usually when you move your finger down the list goes up. so it is opposite to kinetic scrolling. But sooner it will be updated.

but i have to point to something the phone was french edition i had to reflash it and debrand it .maybe thats why it was for 700 i dont know much actually cos i havent checked many stores i got in and once i found it for 700 i bought it cos i know its in england for 650-700GBP ..

It seems like the N900 will be the next big talk. I was excited at first too, not sure that iam any more. I was watching youtube videos and researching the specs and from what I can see the i8910 still has better specs. N900 resistive touch with 800 by 480 pixels and 16m colors. The i8910 capacitive touch AMOLDE screen with 640 by 360 pixels and 16m colors. Nokia added a QWERTY keyboard to make up for the lack of capacitive touch also for texting and business users. The i8910's camera is better at 8mp with led flash and hd recording and playback. The N900 has a 5mp camera with duel flash and a video light but cannot record hd videos. Not sure if it can play hd content I will have to check this out and add it in my next blog entry. They have the exact same processor. The i8910 has a bigger battery which is Li-Ion 1500 compared to N900's Li-Ion 1320 battery. The N900 has alot more weight 181g compared to the i8910's 148g. They both can go up to 48gb of storage. The biggest thing about the N900 is the Maemo 5 Os which is not really a phone Os but more of a computer one. So its better than Android, Symbian, Winmo or anyother phone Os. The Os is not enough to make me choose this over the i8910. And remember this is Nokia, when they see production cost they may drop some of the specs as they did with the N97. So we are still not sure what we are getting. Atleast with the i8910 we no what we have.
