These phones have almost the same specs but differ in some key areas. Starting with the screen the Omnia 2's screen is 3.7 inchs and the i8910 is the same. The Omnia 2 has 800 by 480 pixels and the i8910 is 640 by 360 pixels so which screen is better? Ans.. The i8910 and here is why. The Omnia 2 is resistive touch and the i8910 capacitive so it will be smoother. The Omnia 2 has 65k colors and the i8910 has 16m colors so you get a more acquate screen that has deeper and richer looking colors. In this case the Omnia 2 has more pixels but that wont matter because pixels are mainly for image details and sharpness and on a screen this size the human eye wont be able to detect the difference in pixels. Samsung gave the Omnia 2 more pixels because winmo cannot run 16m colors. This was a way for them to get the screen as near to the i8910 as possible. So the i8910 has the better screen. The Omnia 2 has a 5mp camera with led flash and cannot shoot or play videos in hd. The i8910 has a 8mp camera and can shoot and play videos in hd. So the i8910 has the better camera. The Omnia 2 runs winmo 6.1 and will be upgradeable to 6.5, dont no if its a free upgrade. The i8910 runs Symbian s60 5th addition which more people including myself thinks is the better Os but that is for you to decide. The Omnia 2 has a faster processor at 800mhz compared to 600mhz in the i8910 so it might do things just a little faster. I was reading a blog and someone said the technologie in the i8910s processor was newer so it will proform the same. I will have to research this a bit more. The Omnia 2 can do fm recording. They both have fm radio tho. The battery and the other specs are almost the same with slight differences. The i8910 is still the big brother. But these may be the best two phones. I would buy the Omnia 2 if I could not get a i8910 and still be happy. The choice is yours let me no what you think.

Please someone help me I can't make my decison whether to buy i8910 omnia HD or i8000 omnia II.
And I wonder is omnia II also have HD video recording?
Greatly appreciate if someone could help me to make my decison.

The 3D Task Manager is good,but we really want Kinetic Scrolling,at least for Web Browsing if not for the whole device.

Samsung Omnia HD XEII1 software update
The XEII1 software update is already being distributed to Omnia HD users in Russia and Hong Kong. Most importantly it replaces the speech-centric low-bitrate AMR codec used for the audio recording in videos with the superior AAC encoder. But since that has already been taken care of by the previous software update issued for the rest of the world, the more interesting new feature here is the 3D task switcher, much like the one we saw on the Samsung I8000 Omnia II.

Unfortunately, i havent seen any symbian s60 phones which have smilies on their sms app.
Not sure if you can download any 3rd party app for this phone.

BTW, congrates on new phone ;) you will more happy with other nice features than sms smilies, lol

However, given its capabilities as a multimedia device, you could give a sound argument for the i8910 HD winning PMP of the year too.
