Going thru the posted comments, u have been one of the main supporters of this handset....now i see u thrashing it completely....what gives!?! I'll be buy this handset on friday 11th September 2009....for all the following reasons...I actually like symbian...8mp is a step from my last Nseries N80...HD video recording...To hell with Xenon cuz where i'm from....Use at night is a risk(if u know wha i mean)...The apps and firmware upgrades are few but patience is virtue...choicing Sony Ericsson/LG/HTC is just stupid if u wanna upgrade from this phone...so that practically rules out all but the Iphone 3gs....i for one, i'm over Apple....I'm not saying hamid does have a good point and right to be disappointed...the handset had no hardware issue so far which is good...all issues are software...software can be updated....hardware can only be replaced....try looking at it from a different point of view......PEACE!!

The flash was off during capturing, i just wanted to show you those damn things are more visible in the dark(especially in hd mode)
And Abdullah is right, they show themselves brighter in hd mode and they move to corners or hide when you zooming
seems he has the same issue.
Thats the result of mass production, they shoot milions of devices on the market without care how much you wasting your money.
I couldnt imagine this phone would have such issue when i first saw the specs 3mounth ago, you spend like $700 on a hd phone then you notice the hd video is not real hd and you should have such sh**s on the video

Im so sad:(

I wanted to know whether he had his flash on or not coz if it was on the flash would be really weak.

when will the new symbian touch optimized OS be released more or less? anyone knows?

2) some ppl say Apple iPhone 3GS has a more 'powerful' version of the ARM A8 cortex processor than the Satio - what do they mean or are they exactly the same in every respect?

As much as I love the i8910 and it screen it will have to take second place to the N900 which is really a pocket pc with all the latest phone technologies. This phone runs a real computer Os. I can only imagine the price.

JAK, 06 Sep 2009Hello everybody, I am planning to buy Samsung i8910 Omni... moreHey JAK, The Touch hd nor the Hero are in the i8910's class they are more on the iphones level. Here is why. The Hero is capacitive touch with 320 by 480 pixels and the display is only 3.2inchs, in these days its 3.5 and up or nothing. The Touch hd is resistive touch so it wont be as smooth. The display is 480 by 800 and 3.8inchs. They both have 65k colors. Now the i8910 has the AMOLDE screen which is the best in the world, its capacitive touch and and the display is 3.7inchs and 360 by 640 pixels it also has 16m colors. The i8910 and the Touch hd both have Fm radio the Hero does not. Both the Hero and Touch hd has a 5mp camera with on flash and cannot shoot or play hd videos. The i8910 has a 8mp camera with led flash and can shoot and play hd videos. Both the Touch hd and the Hero has 288mb of ram and 512mb of rom and you will have to buy a microSD card. They come with a 528mhz processor. The i8910 has a huge 8/16Gb storage and 256mb of rom and you can buy a microSD card of up to 32gb. It comes with a 600mhz processor. The i8910's battery is bigger and the screen technologie should give it better life. But if you have to give them something them its the Os in the Hero which is Android. But lets remember the i8910 has Symbian which is one of the best out there. The i8910 is a monster compared to these two phones. So now the choice is yours. Let me no what you think.

N900 kills this in terms of software (apps, programs and games). N900 can emulate almost everything: PSP, Android, Symbian, Java Mobile and last, but not least, Linux.

Hello everyone. I really need help with my Samsung Omnia HD here. I brought this phone a few weeks ago and used it for t-mobile. It worked perfect. But I exchanged it with someone on graigslist for a Iphone 3gs. He is using At&t. For some reason, the phone is lagging and freezing on him. I mean the phone is fully unlocked, so it should work perfect for him too. Does anyone know the reason to this? Is it maybe the firmware version I upgraded to is hong kong one? Thanks

Mo, 06 Sep 2009Hey Hamid was that hd video or d1 recording and was the flash on?this appears when you are capturing video in the HD mode only.
it does not matter if the flash is on or off, because those dot already exists but you only can see them in the dark area.
if you want to see those dots clearly, put your phone in the hd video recording mode then go to setting and change the effect and choose water color effect. then go back to your camera put your hand infront the camera but dont close it completely , make some space for the light to reach the camera len.
by doing this you will see to many of those white dots

Kind advice seaker, 06 Sep 2009Hi, I am a bit confused, want to buy a PDA, having a choice... moreits actually depends on your use.
simply the iphone is ipod + phone, if you are interseted on music and albums go for iphone.
if you are seeking for full multimedia device with high specifications and excellent camera, then Omnia HD should be your choice.

I am currently using Omnia HD and I really like this mobile too much. the oled screen is the best so far with its huge size and beautiful colors, the phone capable of playing divx movies and you can also put a subtitles for the movie. the speakers of the phone are really good. camera with its finest. also its finger friendly, you dont need a stylus to use it. what else i can say about this phone :)
simply the best multimedia phone to date

to tell you the truth, no one knows if those are really dead pixels or something else.
because if you have noticed that the white dots get bigger when you zoom in and also thier location get changed with each zoom.

nearly all i8910 hd devices availible in the market have the same thing. however, the difference between each device and the other is the number of those white dots, thier sizes and thier locations.

I have replaced my device three times before I know that its common problem for all i8910 hd, and all three devices I have used were having the same white dots
