Hey guys,
Last night i tried take some videos at night, but found a nightmare..
Theres at least one or two dead pixels on camera sensor which show themselves at dark scenes
i didnt notice them before cause all the videos i shot was in direct sun.
theyre visible both on camera view finder and videos(especially hd ones) but theyre not visible on still images??:(

should i bring it to samsung for repair?
Is the problem will be fixed with software update?
And is there anyone have this issue?

Hello everybody,
I am planning to buy Samsung i8910 Omnia HD,but some of my friends say HTC HD or HTC Hero is better than i8910.I heared that we cant use many applications in i8910 as we could use in HTC hero. Is that true?. I am basically not much interested in HTC due to lack of flash camera and radio in HTC hero. Can anyone advice me with your experience, that which mobile is best to buy with current technologies. BTW, can you tell me how's the audio and video quality in i8910.does it hangs?...i will be very thankful for your reply.JAK

you got exactly the point ..
iphone is about APP store i have to admit its flawless but omnia HD was meant to be an all in one device..
and again its all about your personal usage that can determine to which route you head ...
i on my own bought the omnia and im very happy by it cos i dealt with most of the latest cell phones and the omnia was the most to satisfy my needs and concerning software i consider the symbian and the android the best to deal with after apple OS also in the very near future the the new symbian software will be revealed which is so much optimized for finger usage.
but again i have to point that the SATIO from SE does have a RESISTIVE touch screen so beware cos it cant be compared to the iphone and the omnia HD concerning touch sensitivity and responsiveness ..so choose accordingly..
and again im saying it loudly to any one whose kind of afraid from the touch sensitivity of omnia cos i were their 2 weeks ago but now i can guarantee that its as perfect as the iphone and as quick and smooth from every aspect also you barley notice any lags ive ran like 16 applications simultaneously and the phone smoothness wasnt affected by more than 10-15% really thumbs Up ..this is my first trial with SAMSUNG and im very satisfied i couldnt have asked for more ..

ramin, 05 Sep 2009my GF bought omnia hd 2 weeks ago and this is a very good p... moretrust mate.. this phone is better than satio
the screen of this phone is the best so far you will never find a screen with such beautiful colors and suitable size..
it records hd video and the sound quality already has been fixed in the italian and hong kong firmwires.. the satio only records vga video which is normal thing.
the only let down is the xenon flash , but the existing led is working fine. Samsung installed led flash in this phone because this phone main feature is to capture hd video and you can use this led when are capturing video , however the xenon flash is only used for taking still pictures

could you pls tell me what is the part no. of the video cable? And should it connect to the headphone jack?
If so is it possible to use e.g. nokia(n95) video cable with this phone?
Mine didnt came with an av cable, but reveiw says its exactly like the nokia av cables.

i had never seen such clarity in mobile phones even lcd fails in front of hd. best part is it has all features and symbian os if any one has budget then buy these phones

coolmastdude, 05 Sep 2009I had decided to go for the Omnia HD but then the LG Bl-40 ... moreIf you are going to consider a phone over the i8910 than the LG BL40 may be the correct one to look at. Its a good phone but I still think the i8910 is better, here is why. The i8910s AMOLDE screen is still the best. However the BL40s screen is taller but narrower and can also play hd videos like the i8910 and the picture quality is good and very detailed. So the screen qualities are almost the same with the edge to the i8910. The BL40 is multi touch the i8910 is not but still very responsive. The BL40 has a 5mp camera with I think may be duel led flash. The i8910 has a 8mp camera with led flash and can record in hd the BL40 cannot. The BL40 comes with 1.1Gb of storage and you have to buy a micro sd card of up to 16gb. The i8910 comes with 8 or 16gb and you can buy a micro sd card of up to 16gb. The i8910 has a bigger battery and the screen may give it better life in just my opinion. The BL40 cpu speed is not known yet but it look as fast as the i8910. Because the BL40 is so tall I cant imagine it being as comfortable as the i8910 in the pockets but again that just my opinion. I still think the i8910 is a better choice and is worth waiting for.

rohit, 05 Sep 2009could anyone from INDIA having this phone tell me which fir... moreMy FW is DDIG3. I think this every HD owner in INDIA is using this particular. I didn't even record a single video in last 2 weeks. So no idea what codec is in. But I can tell this FW has a lot of bugs. So we need an update ASAP. Samsung India website/PC Studio 7 still can't detect the device for an update. SAMSUNG PLEASE,WE NEED AN UPDATE,AND QUICKLY.
If anybody already updated their HD fw then please inform me.
