samsung malaysia has confirm that they will relaunch Omnia HD on september... 8g rm2750, 16g rm 2899.. hope its true and no more delay

Having read a lot of mobile phone PR’s and reviews, and being interested and a wee bit knowledgable in the area of Computer Architecture, it is impossible that 1 Ghz = 600+430 Mhz.
a) The 1 Ghz is a typographic error that has inadvertently crept in.
b) Samsung has silently upgraded the Omnia i8910HD SoC to it’s 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor announced recently. The thermal and power envelope of this new low leakage 45 nm process processor are in the same region, so integrating it with the existing SoC in place of the old 600 Mhz 65nm ARM Cortex A8 is not such a big deal
Let me make it clear. CPU speeds of varying architectures cannot just be added to get the total speed. The CPI, issue count etc. of each ISA differs, and adding in sequence just doesn’t give the total clock speed.
That is why 2 Ghz Pentium 4 + 625 Mhz (ATI Radeon R520) != 2.625 Ghz processor.
Even in the same ISA with multi-core solutions it is not possible. That is why 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo!= 4 Ghz Core 2 Solo :P

When we buy our computers it always states Processor speed eg.2Ghz they dont add the GPU in. Whats the problem. I am a Samsung fan and currently using the Innov8 but we just have to face it. Even the Omnia II and the Jet boast a 800Mhz processor they dont add other stuff in. Were talking stand alone speed. Just like cars we always say 2000cc engine with Turbo not add all up. Engine and Turbo is different you get what I mean. There was a write up recently regarding a 1Ghz processor but its not in the market yet.

guys please end the hassle of the 1gb mhz processor ..
its simply an indirect marketing trick from samsung ..
*Samsung India is adding up the clock speeds of the CPU as well as of the DSP....
Omnia HD houses an OMAP3430 application processor along with TMS320C64x DSP.

*OMAP3430 – 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX 530 GPU + 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)
if you add both we get 1030 MHz processor not just 1000
if you checked a stand alone cortex 1gb MHZ processor youll find that its total speed if you made the same equation will exceed 1500 MHZ.
*technically speaking Samsung could be right in claiming that the omnia hd hosts a 1gb mhz processor but if we see it from a consumer’s perspective, it looks to be a shoddy marketing attempt to lure innocent buyers.

if u talking about mobilecity online, then the 16GB version there WON'T be OUT till end of September. (I called and asked them). This is still earlier than some other websites getting it end of October!,.. Also, it's final price will be 800 US, NOT 700US. They use it as a gimmick to get customers pre-ordering it! so be warned...

If there is a HD like this, then why they didnt plan to sell it to the most reachest people in the world instead of .....?

i8910HD with 1ghz humming bird???? Wow! Can't wait to get an upload youtube about this! Anyways i have recently attempted loading the HelloOX software on the i8910 HD is works fine i know some of you have been experiencing issues with the software but there version which do install
