hey guys i m from kashmir india,and i was waiting for omnia hd for last 7 months,now it is finally released in india on our independence day and costs rupees 34,000,and omnia hd in india has 1 ghz processor instead of 600 mhz,hurray. check it on http://www.unwiredview.com/2009/08/12/samsung-omnia-hd-i8910-now-has-a-1ghz-processor/

mafia, 15 Aug 2009can anyone tell me wich one is better samsung omnia HD or s... moreI tested Jet too...Jet has no OS u know that? u cant install programs to it as u can do in symbian and Windows Mobile. ..if u want just a phone u can get JET, but if uwant manything from ur phone go get the HD. but again. HD is expansive and BIG. go get a proper phone dude.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2009I got an email from Samsung promoting this phone already, a... moreI've just got my HD today from samsung in Singapore. Just got my batt charged. Everything is awesome. No comments on batt life yet. Should be the latest firmware. I've checked (I'm not very adept, but I've checked from the phone itself). Touch performance is great!! Fast not lagging. I've yet to download other applications so can't comment if over stored the applications. I surf through EDGE. Malaysia has only the 8gb but Singapore is selling the 16gb. Only the main Samsung distributors have the units (limited) not other indirect distributors. Price SGD1098 w/o contract. So far so good. But I've yet to locate the FM transmitter yet. Maybe don't have.
Video is great! Sound is great. But voice over the phone sounds a little "hollow" like what some forums mentioned.

its out for telcos in sg today. approx $600- $800 with high end plans.

I tested this on the store..it is a FAIL. i have NOKIA E71 now. maybe will buy a E72 or E90. iam a BUSINESS mainstream customer. i need big screen for my job. i wanted to buy Omnia HD but its a BIG FAIl. why? Touchsence never come close to Iphone.. Menus r slow in times, and i was takng photo and suddenly it dropped to menu itself. why? battery was full..maybe a memory issue. and browsing the web is pain beasue its a bit SLOW i mean zoming and navigating in the same page when u zoom..Damn Apple did the best with safari..Dont get me wrong, i am not apple fan and even iam not their target customer but they did the touchscreen and safari program as best...Omnia HD fails with touchscreen and performance..But good par is a REAL BIG SCREEN..and Symbian OS. and photo quality looks awesome. cant comment about battery life...and yeah also the voice quality while u talking is not better than my nokia e71.odd...anyway..if u want a stylish phone go buy iphone i guess..but if u want a useful phone with big screen u may get this phone but maybe a firmware update needed?

I got an email from Samsung promoting this phone already, and some shops are already selling in Singapore at a very high price, but ... not the Telco yet, therefore it may not be official and could be old stock.
I'm waiting for the official telco set, perhaps these will have the latest firmwares that are more stable ???
I'm leaning towards Omnia II now if it dun get release soon, very soon.

That is marketing of the phone companies so you will buy the next model with slightly upgraded specs. Omnia HD is the closes phone to perfection out yet. As far as the price goes, It's like buying a car. Its like complaining about a Ferrari price saying you can buy a house for the amount you spend on it. Well go buy a Toyota Prius if you are looking for a deal. Style & class comes with a price!

A have a problem with the sound. i put it in 5 but i don´t hear when it sounds for a msj or a call. it is lower.
