I just want to clarify something. I am not a 16 years old iphone fanboy. I have now seen both iphone 3GS and Omnia HD in action and I had them in my hands.
At the end of the day, I have a 12Mp Canon EOS450D, which takes great pictures; so the camera is not an issue for me. I just want a mobile that works fast and it is reliable, and the omnia may be a good device, but does not have the support and the thousands of applications of the iphone.
My advice is, if you are hesitating whether to get the Omnia HD or the iphone 3GS, do not be silly. Buy a normal camera to take pictures (omnia are not that good anyway) and get an iphone. I know quite a lot of people with the iphone and nobody regrets having it...that must tell you something (I just did not listen because I hate itunes)...

I have got the phone a few hours now and, despite of the amazing screen and picture quality, I am going to give it back and get an iphone 3GS instead.
I did not want an iphone to begin with (I hate itunes!), but I have to recognise that it is 100 times more user friendly.
1. First of all as "e-rik" has said in his comment, Samsung PC studio 7 does not recognise the device and, therefore, cannot look for any software updates.
2. It is a real nightmare to find and download applications (there are not many nad they are hidden somewhere in the net). There is a website where they show you how to flash and download applications: http://samsungi8910omnia.com/. But that is not for me...I just want something easy, simple and quick to use (I do not have time to waste investigating this).
3. Can somebody read a PDF file full-screen? I cannot, and, honestly, have tried hard. What is the point on having a 3.7 inches screen if you are using two thirds of it???? Really hopeless.
4. Internet. I have a contract with Orange UK. They just allow you 500MB per month (and no, there is not an option for unlimited browsing). It is much, much and much slower than the iphone 3GS. I guess the videos on youtube show a debranded handset. Forget about that speed with Orange... Besides, the websites do not fit to the screen as in the iphone. They just appear in an anarchyc way and then you have to zoom it with the scroll bar (I really miss the zoom with the iphone).
So, before I decided to go for this Omnia HD, I read loads of reviews, saw all the videos in youtube, etc. I was hesitating until the last minute whether to get this one or the iphone. Now I really regret my choice and I am hoping to give it back and get the new iphone.

When I try to update my phone with the phone software update in studio 7 I get this error
'phone software updater does not support the connected model.
Thank you for checking, can someone link me to the update for PC Studio 7, I'm not good with his stuff.

If so, would you please make clear what exactly you mean by 'the SIM has to be in the terminal'. Terminal = phone ???

The update via PC Studio 7 doesn't work here (The Netherlands).
Updater says: The connected model is not supported by Phone software updater. Thanks for checking.
So what now?

its a very good multimedia tel.,exellent 8 mpix camera with hd video,battery is solid for this kind of tel.,displey is better then any phone i ever see..easy for use...ill by this fon on my mobile provider were it is 350 euro with 2 years contract...its a very fast phone,faster then new nokia n97.

Why samsung is not using any lenses in their cameras such as nokia using carl zeis optics??? its gone be a better if they use such optics in their devices....

yes it's a wonderful piece of technology, but it is'nt worth as much they're charging, think abt it, in 800$ u wud get a laptop and a gud multimedia phone. I wud hv loved to buy it but thats too much for me.
