          I installed the new (IG2) firmware, and IMO an excellent mobile phone has been transformed into an even better one. Samsung Omnia Hd is now even Faster, and the sound issue has been successfully tackled and corrected. I honestly can say that this is the best mobile phone around to date. Hopefully applications and Games specific for this powerful phone will be released soon. Current general apps for S60v5 are not enough to show its real potential. Thank you Samsung for doing a great job, please continue giving support for this excellent mobile phone by updates and specific apps/games releases. Its the best way to keep this phone alive for years to come!!!

                  to those who can't install update for i8910, follow these steps:
                  the update is only available for italians BUT you can get it too:

                  visit this link: http://samsungi8910omnia.com/forum/om...

                  register and download the earliest italian firmware. this one:

                  * ITALY(ITV) (Generic Unbranded)
                  * Phone : I8910XXIE4 / CSC : I8910ITVIE5 / BB : I8910XXIE6

                  flash your phone with that (check the http://samsungi8910omnia.com/ flahing tutorial)

                  once the italian firmware is installed you can connect your mobile to the computer and the samsung updater will find and download the brand new IG2 firmware!

                          "user friendly is for stupid people who dont know how to use a SMART phone"

                          There is no need to insult anybody. I just posted my opinion after using it for a few hours, and I have just seen some flaws that are unacceptable to me. Internet and the Acrobat reader (which I really need) have been very disappointing.

                          In my case I do not care too much, as I do not pay for the handset and have a cheap contract thnaks to the discount for "families and friends" from Orange. But, in some countries I believe you are paying $800 for this device. Not worth it, really.

                          But, anyway, what can I say to a fanboy with no critical spirit? Honestly, I loved this phone before I had it in my hands and perhaps I had too high expectations. Unfortunately, these expectations have not been met. However, as I said, it is an excellent device to watch films and listen to music (very good quality and ease of use).
