wait i thought it had an HD screen ???
isnt it in its name also ??
HD= 1200x700 (720p) AT LEAST. i really thought it was HD... well, i won't regret buying the iphone 3GS that way.

hey guys went to waterfront's cellucity (vodacom) we can definitely expect this and s8000(JET) end of july first week in aug, sadly i couldn't get a price out of them, but if you search google, s.a sites it gives the value of ten grand? soooooooo hoping that's a typo, i mean seriously now that cant be the price?

ed1977, 06 Jul 2009I've been waiting for this phone since Feb. This is really ... moreIt will be released in SG latest by the end of July. It's already in the "Upcoming" phones sections in samsung SG website(in Late Jun), and phones in the "Upcoming" sections are always avaliable within a month.
If we were lucky, maybe it would be avaliable next week.

yessss!!!! confirm omnia HD will be in Malaysia end of JULY... supposed launch on June but due to the sound problem... postpone to july... i think samsung malaysia wanted to upgrade the sound software... RM 2899..confirm... cant wait

I've been waiting for this phone since Feb. This is really agonising!
Tot it would b available in end May. Later found out only in UK. Went to check wif the Samsung World at Vivo (Singapore) and was told the release would be by end of Jun.
But when I asked the Samsung representative (think he's Korean) at CommuniAsia in Jun, he said end of the year for HD (I re-confirmed wat he said). However, he claimed Omnia 2 will be available by Jul. But I was still hopeful to get the phone soon.
Saw HD working set at one of the Samsung shops last week, asked and was told end of this mth is Omnia 2 and only 2 mths aft then HD will be launched.
Another Samsung shop said HD will be in this mth.
So many versions!! Who to believe??? How to wait? I WANNA CHANGE PHONE!

Samsung use DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine)for this phone. But they have upgraded DNSe 3.0 already in their MP3 player YP-P3 six month back. Then whey they are using old software for this type of moblie?
