Mike, 22 Jun 2009HI I can can confirm that this phone does have handwriting... morethanks, i like the large size as well lol just hope my pockets hold, never been one for bags.... now if it'll just come out in s.a sigh... oh another question i keep hearing/reading this is a samsung nokia 5800, in s.a 5800 is marketed as low-mid range price now how much does i8910 cost in comparison?

VoIP over WiFi do you mean like using Skype on mobille phone ? if yes maybe you can try install Fring ?

I can can confirm that this phone does have handwriting recognition. In addition, the keypad is absolutely fantastic to use. The large screen makes the keys really large and easy to press. Furthermore, it gives vibration feedback so you know you have pressed the key properly. In general, i can type quicker on this than i could even on my blackberry bold. Its amazing!

I tried the S... moreit is really true wad he said..i went to plaza sing today to check out the phone..it was awesome man..but i guess tt the sales person r abit blurr on the phone price and release date.the lady in the counter said at 1st tt 16gb will be 1600 singapore dollars.than after a while she asked her colleague abt the price once again.than she said its 1600singapore dollars for 8 gb..WTF...8gb already 1600 means 16 gb will be hw much man??this is absolute shit.later when i asked abt the phone release date she said next month..WTF..than i told her when i called samsung they told me its this month..than she change her answer and said .ya this month...wad r they thinnking??such a poor service place..shit them..hope the price is low.and thinking of getting it from the wholesale place...uno the export handphones without warranty..lets c hw time goes...

Hi, my questions about handwriting recogntion, from what I read capacitive does not support this feature but on phonearena the video show's that it does, so can someone who owns this phone please tell me if it does? as well as if they experience any difficulty in texting.

I am very interested in this phone. However I am reluctant to buy it because it uses Symbian and not Windows. For example I am interested to use it as a VoIP over WiFi. Does anyone know a good VoIP software that I can use with Symbian? I want a software that I can configure the server myself.

this phone uses symbian os (Nokia N series phone) while the omnia uses Window Mobile...two different OS so they are not going to work the same....windows have a tendency to slow down IF YOU don't properly close down running apps...
