Shawn, 26 Mar 2009Guys SE fans are right, we dont stand a chance, so what if ... moreIf you compare the Sony IDOU against the Samsung Omnia HD directly with the same Symbian OS, Sony is definitely losing against the 12MP camera.
However, I think that 8MP is enough for occasional shots. Taking pictures for over the net use on a 8MP is already too big (e.g. Ebay posting) on a 5MP, or even caller ID pictures.
The main good things about the Omnia HD is the new OLED screen, and the ARM Cortex A8. But like it has been mentioned before, I believe that such processing speed is better suited for a multitasking OS.
Staying with just the Symbian OS means that the Omnia HD is definitely losing against the IDOU. So for now, IDOU wins officially in a better balanced specs with a more powerful camera (though no OLED touchscreen or faster processor).

also they dont produce any of there own panels for
lcd tvs also mobiles they get all there lcd panels
from samsung
with out samsung sony is nothing.
sony help samsung to produce better software to develope there products and samsung help them with there panels thanks so get your facts right befor you make a stupid post

Guys SE fans are right, we dont stand a chance, so what if Omnia HD has the best screen, better battery, best mobile CPU & GPU, only phone to record HD video, DNSe audio and looks better than SE Idou?
SE Idou has 12 Mp Cam which they can use to see their A*S in Xtra large size and Xenon flash to see their d*c* in dark which makes it best.

I have a problem with the texting can anyone help.
I find when I reply to a text I only get a small area to write in and cant read the whole message in one look only really one line at a time so its hard to see what you have typed

An handset like this that is capable of record and playback hd videos in 720p, with a full browser superior in all aspects to the browser of the iphone. The hardware specifications say everything. A Ti OMAP 3 ARM Cortex-A8 600MHZ CPU and Graphic processor Powervr SGX-530 with a peformance vastly superior to the weak powervr mbx lite of the iphone.

I got an all pimped up WM Omnia i900 with 2200mAh battery with lots of references, system and financing management programs, games, GPS program with 3 continent maps that I have yet to visit this summer vacation, and 32GB to play with. I can still make it to the hotel!
Please wake me up... ... after my trip! I am ready to buy anything with WM and 8MP camera. I have used many HTC models before the Omnia. I have been here since the very first XDA time. I will be happy to switch back to an HTC with more software supports.

iv read so bloody much on the omnia hd since the beginhg of feb and carnt wait for the the thing to come out which i have to wait till june sometime if it dosent get nocked back again stroll on june for god sake its torcher waitin for something you want or is that me just being inpatint ????and i wish samsung would give us all a real release date.

sony ... moreFirst of all I was talking about OLED display and NOT OLED TV. Sony didn't invent OLED. According to sources Sony introduced the world's first OLED TV, the 11" XEL-1, in November 2007. If you don't know the deference then get some education. Now I don't know how that is "First" because in January 2005, Samsung announced the world's largest OLED TV at the time, at 21-inches...and till now they have unveiled 31" and the highest 40" OLED TV. Whereas Sony is planning to launch 26" XEL2 in may 2009.

Sony HDTVs are best. Are you talking about BRAVIA? True it's the best. But do you know that BRAVIA came from Sony-Samsung LCD partnership?

symbian is better than WinMo.ln symbian phones there thousands of software but WinMo nothing.symbian also have multi touch.Is there stylus in this hd phone.
