Go to your phone's dialer and type the following "*#*#197328640#*#*"
This will bring you to the phones hidden default settings. Go to Audio->Handset->Volume->. If you open the first 2 selections you will see the speakers output settings for level of the volume rocker setting (ie 0=70% 1=75% 2=80% 3=84% 4=88% 5=92%). You can edit ANY of those levels. For mine, I have my settings start at 0=75%, and 5=100% of the speaker output, with intervals of 5% speaker output in between.
You can change the same settings for Speaker mode, as well as for use with a headset. Cheers

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2011traded my SE vivaz for this. one bad thing is the downgrad... moreThis phone is boss. Period. Know plenty of ppl that have 1 also, no one complains 'bout battery. It is a lil big but that's part of what i love about it, i hate tiny screens...

Im buying a captivate in a couple days & can't wait. My sis & 3 of my friends have captivates & have never complained abour the battery but thanks in advance for the advice on how to fix it. I love it because its an android (now using htc aria), the big screen, & the color in pix is vibrant. I think theyre amazing! :)

i have had this phone for 2wks now. of late it cant display neither the name nor the number of the person calling. to resolve this problem, i have to reboot the phone and then after sometime the problem recur again.is there any one with a solution?

i have been using this phone for two days .its everything is fine even battery life, the only thing i am unhappy with is very low volume. i have already had galaxy s twice before this and i found that better than this one. can anyone help me to enhance the volume.

I hate this phone and all galaxy series. It's just great performans but battery life like my HP laptop, few hours and phone is dead

i use this although i have iphone 4 and i really love it and i am really impressed by it but there is no camera secondary camera and no flash in camera and only this thing make me little upset and only this thing make me sad and all other function and its design rocks
