Anonymous, 22 Nov 2010Oh cool! Wat about docomo? and wat does adjusting network... more@Anonymous: Sorry, but I have not checked with Docomo, as I do not have its SIM. But rest assured that an unlocked phone will work in any GSM newtork.

Reconfiguring Data: You will have to ask the customer care the settings of APN name, server, proxy etc, and manually enter in the phone. Unlike Nokia etc, these settings can not be automatically delivered to your handset in an SMS. But that is not a big deal. A few minutes ago I saw this model listed for 21.7K Brand ne and unlocked on Global Easy buy of eBay India.

I have checked with Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone SIMs. Data Connections need to be manually configured, though. Of course, mine was bought unlocked. You can find it in Global Easy Buy of eBay India for 22-23K delivered (no other expenses).

Overall, an amazing phone... sweeter than iPhone4.

This well-rated phone seems to continue a pattern: the only phones to date that get Android 2.2 Froyo have 1GB of RAM and at least a 1GHz CPU. Are there announced dates for this phone to get the greatly enhanced speed (for 3rd-party apps) of Froyo, and/or Flash?

Or is this a dead end that you'll want to replace in a year when it becomes obvious that AT&T isn't going to (maybe isn't able to) support current Android features?

everything on captivate is nice except the GPS. It is not working well. My GPS can't lock onto any satellite despite able to detect them. And the accuracy is way off without aGPS...

If you want a way to control your screen colour intensity, hold your finger on any empty home screen, chooose android widget, and choose power control.

                              1) when i receive a text at 2pm, it says the text was received 10am, however when i send out texts, it is the correct time. i have no way of getting around this.

                              2) when browsing the web + using data for about 20 minutes, the phone gets very warm because of the LED screen.

                              3) my phone turns itself off randomly, (mostly when i am not using it for +2-3 hours)

is anyone else having these problems?

Finally received the phone. Works fine on the Rogers network in Canada. Only downside is, no one can really be prepared for how long it takes to recharge this bad girl. Already drained it to its lowest peak, and charged it all night long to optimize battery life. Battery seems to last a smidget longer. Have to carry charger around just in case.
