They will just have to repack the .apk installer.", Android still needs to repack the .apk installer, so you will still not be able to use any Android app or game, because you can only use those that the developer have repacked, you can not use any Android app you have bought from any Android App or Game Store! If you want to use Android App and Games then you should buy an Android Phone and then wait, and hope, the there soon will be a launcer that copy most of the look and feel of the Harmattan skin!

OMR, 30 Sep 2011Hi Guys ,i wanna buy a new phone and i am confused between ... more@ OMR

I happen to have both phones that you mention and can honestly say neither phone is better than the other. They both fulfill different purposes. The N8 has a superior camera, HDMI and USB-on-the-go, but lacks in the applications department compared to Android.
The Galaxy S's 5 Mp camera is good enough for basic point and shoot photography but doesn't have a flash, so it's not much good in low light conditions. Strong points for the Galaxy S would be ease of use, massive selection of Apps, big clear SAMOLED screen, fast 1 GHz CPU and plenty of RAM (512 MBytes).
Both phones are however, obsolete and have been replaced with newer up to date models such as the SGS 2 and the Nokia N9 (which I would like to get but sadly isn't available for the UK market)

                                  Cheers.

                                  Ray
