hi. i just got a new samsung galaxy and still a novice user. i had the icons of my applications showing on the screen while testing it and my screen got whole messed up. i wasnt able to delete the icons cause i cant find the option to undo or delete the icons. suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks

I heard there is a bug in the firmware that causes serious battery drain, that reduces the standby time to less than a day- without any data connections, calls, or messages. Please tell me is this true? And if so, have Samsung released some sort of fix?

Who said there was a problem with the Super Amoled screen of Galaxy S. I am using using it for almost 10 months now and havent seen a single problem with it.

What you need to do is turn off features of the phone that are not needed or being used. There are tons of detailed guides on the internet but I will list some of the main ones here.
Turn off 3G and WiFi when not being used.
Turn off background data syncronization.
Turn off Live wallpapers and replace with a pure solid black wallpaper.
Turn off Bluetooth.
Turn off GPS
Increase the sync frequency for emails
Reduce the number of homescreen widgets that require a data connection and reduce the number of homescreens in general.
Reduce the amount of time spent playing with the phone just for the sake of it, like trying out new apps just because they sound fun.
Calibrate the battery (use Google for instructions)
Otherwise, one day's worth of charge is actually quite good in todays world of smart phones.

Lots of people have bought power batteries there...and had problems with them, so i just got 'genuine' samsung from there. 10/10 for the products i got:)
