Ive just upgraded from 2.1 to 2.3.3 gingerbread and cant see a lot of difference.What should be different ?

I've had this magnificent phone ever since it was launched in our region back in July 2010,screen is great, it's gorilla glass and i've had screen protection on and i change it every once in a while but now it's back cover is scratched. can i buy a new back cover? would asking for a white one be too much? does any one know if it is avaliable in the market? thanks

As far as I know the i9000 Galaxy S doesn't support MHL.
Only the i9100 Galaxy S2 has MHL enabled.

Two other things you forgot to mention:
1) Download a decent Task Killer. It's surprising how many apps run in the background without you knowing.
2) Goto Settings>Accounts & sync and turn OFF Background data.

Battery life on any modern smartphone is dependent on how much it is used, as well as whether Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are switched on or not. Turn off those three things when they are not being used to save battery life.
Other things that will eat your battery are internet browsing, listening to music, watching videos and playing games. Also having a live wallpaper active will drain the battery pretty fast. Choose a pure black wallpaper for prolonged battery life.
It's also a good idea to charge your battery whenever you can to keep it topped up. It won't hurt the battery doing this as it is a Li-ion battery which doesn't have a " memory ", unlike the old Ni-cad ones that did.

Hello,
i got a Samsung Galaxy S mobile received from someone, it got abut 4 months but the battery life is lowered to 6-8 hours, what can i do in this situation the battery is 1500 mA to original one, any suggestion?

I just bought this phone and its still on Android 2.2 but...it seems its camera DOES have continous autofucus despite what GSMArena says......whenever i film a distant object and refocus to something closer the autofocus kicks in and focuses the closer target.
Im 100% sure that it HAS continous autofocus despite nobody mentioning it.Would be nice if GSMArena looked into this.
Warmly recomended to anyone wanting a good all in 1 phone.
