i've waited whole month to get my hand on "official Gingerbread update" on my sgs..... but my patience has finally ran out today and i've updated my sgs with 2.3.3 XWJVB using odin. it's just awesome. everything feels million miles faster and alot better. if someone wants to try it, use should go ahead.

have been using it for a while now, awesome phone. everything works as stated. just waiting for the 2.3.3 Gingerbread update.

OH My god guys.. the battery isn't that good ... i have to charge minimum twice a day!!!! and my screen is at 10%...i got a second original samsung battery but is the same problems ...task killer program is good but i save at least 30/40 minutes no more!!...sorry but iphone 4 have a battery drain slowly than this already tried i can arrive at home with with some battery !..by by galaxy s is on SALE!....maybe i will try the sgs2 !

My wife have a Galaxy S and I have a Motorola Milestone 1, the GPS hardware of the Milestone is much better than the GPS of the Galaxy S . Is much more sensitive and more accurate in the Milestone.

hey friends...i bought my SGS one month back...i am having a problem while connecting my SGS to my laptop through WIFI..i have created a ad-hoc network in my laptop but my SGS is not detecting that ad-hoc network..plzz come up with any suggestions ASAP...thanks..

alan, 26 Apr 2011should i buy this or galaxy SL ?? what is the difference w... moreMy friend alan there is one prominent difference btwn galaxy s and galaxy sl. Galaxy s uses an AMOLED screen and a galaxy sl uses an LCD screen. If u want the best go for AMOLED

go for N8 only and only if u want good camera and 'comparitively' better battery backup.
go for galaxy s if u want overall briliant pakage deal but with 'comparitively' bit lesser battery life.
i own both so trust me,i know how the both mentioned devicess are.
but i would advice u to give through check b4 buying N8,m sure u must be aware of most of the defects that comes inhernt with N8.
buying N8 is like a big gamble coz if u r lucky u'll get the perfect device or else u'll end up being with 'purple tint' issue owners.
my N8 is perfect no issues uptill now,touchwood !!! :-)
sort out ur priorities and then go for either one.both are good.

[deleted post]If i were you, i will go for Samsung Galaxy S because of these.. super AMOLED screen which is very sharp, Android OS plus millions of apps,Very clear video, very responsive touchscreen, beautiful design,durable gorilla glass screen, good bluetooth connection and many more. I have had plenty of phones from Nokia, Siemens, HTC, Iphone but never satisfied, but with Galaxy S i will not look for another phone, believe the SGS users.
