Got this phone 4 days back. Awesome phone. Installed many apps and enjoying every bit of it.
In India its now available for 19.7 K at Spice outlet and you can bargain for some 200-300 more :-).
Though the camera doesn't have Flash, but doesn't matter.
Any idea when they are going to launch 2.3 (Gingerbread) update for this phone?

proud owner of samsung galaxy i9000 bought it for 23,500inr 530usd....phone is awesome....installed quake 2 and its playing flawlessly..... also rooted the phone and also installed one click lag fix (oclf) once thing i was lil bothered was about the audio quality on earphones it was not as good as iphone or blackberry but i heard its improved in gingerbird 2.3 hence i am gonna update it soon and yeah if u r confused between DESIRE AND GALAXY go for i9000
better screen
better internal memory
better processor speed
quadrant benchmark says its 3times better then desire
go for it dont think twice......

galaxy s uses android 2.3 with UI touchwiz 3.0. i'm not sure if further upgrades will follow.
i am using a galaxy s. better screen, lighter and smaller than nexus s. ... and its cheaper

samsung galaxy s n sony neo?? which is better? sony has better camera and a faster processor, flash and gingerbread on board.. samsung has better durability, better display, better gpu ,bigger memory and gingerbread coming soon.. prices nearly same at 24k... so confused... i had used both brand but sony didnt last long and but sound is better than samsung..

@peter........... u can do the followings.......... 1st- turn on the wifi...... 2nd- open the application allshare..... then it will automatically connect u to wifi network.
