Hi Ray, can you let me know what means of inactive process? can gv an example? i confuse wit inactive process.
I scared if i press clear memory it will auto delete my by default item/apps.

HI guys, does the galaxy S have the latest flash support 10.1 ???, and with froyo update which kind of version of flash is pre-installed in the OS?
thanx for answer.... btw another different question: im close to buy this phone but is really a big deal the missing of the led flash for the camera???... Im in the middle to buy this, that nowadays have good price, but doesn't have a flash for the camera or spend 150$ more and go for the nexus S, that have flash camera but it doesn't have the Super Amoled screen (as you know the first unit ship they have S-LCD screen)..... suggestion? thanx

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2011Just get my new SGS. I also new to android. My SGS is come ... more RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is used to temporarily store data for the CPU to access and process. The SGS comes with 512 MB of system RAM and Android plus other system services occupies 208 MB of that RAM at system start up, leaving the rest of the RAM for other apps to use.
Your apps will not get installed to RAM but to internal SD Memory which is either 8 GB or 16 GB depending on the model you have.
RAM management is used for shutting down applications that are occupying RAM and Level 1 and Level 2 refers to what level the user can clear the RAM of system files.
Clearing level 2 RAM can cause you to lose unsaved data, so use with caution.

Just get my new SGS. I also new to android. My SGS is come with ver2.2
Here i would like to know the RAM issue. My SGS is totally new, i didnt download/install any apps or other thing into it. But i go to Task Manager, the RAM i use is already >50% (170MB) of useable RAM (304MB). So i just left out 130MB+. With this 130MB i still can put how many additional apps in order will not make my sgs lag?
One more thing, at Task Manager > RAM > RAM management
may i know wat is the useful of RAM management?
what is Level 1 and Level 2? and Clear Memory is for wat purpose?
Pls advice and Thanks in advance.... :)

i have this phone and bought here in korea. it only have 80 characters allowed on the messaging. if it exceeds in 80, it will automatically become a MMS. my 2nd question is, can i use this phone in philippnes though i bought it here in korea.? tnk u

after my recent upgrade to 2.2 the notification bars doesnt seems to be working well, not able to be drag down from the top screen as previous when in 2.1.
And restarting the phone seems to take forever.....

You will need to install a bit torrent client. That 7KB file is just a torrent file to tell a torrent client what to download and from where.
