You will need to install a bit torrent client. That 7KB file is just a torrent file to tell a torrent client what to download and from where.

hi atif..in samfirmware.com they r telling that if i have 3files than i hv to use. pit files to flash..otherwise if i hv single file then i can use the tar file,no need of pit file..someone said if i use. pit file i will loose all my data..now how can i knw that i hv 3 files??when i enter *#1234#,it shows i9000ddjg4 in pda phone csc files..does that mean i hv 3files n hv to use .pit files??

4. Handwriting box 1
5. Handwriting box 2
Apart from that you can use voice recognizability on 2.2.
but once u use swype, u will never use the other one. Its great.

my 3button combo isnt working...now how im gonna get it work??firstly they r nt releasing the update OTA,secondly they r using kies which is another failure...thirdly its nt in my country..fourthly when i decided to flash 2.2.1 then came to know that my three btn cmbo doesnt work..now how can this phone be a bestseller!!im totally dissappointed on samsung...

The plastic is still the same and one thing not to do is; never drop galaxy s on the flor.

Anyone experienced an In call static sound?

Hey all, I dont know if anyone experienced this. The call quality on my galaxy s is fine, its loud and you can hear what the caller is saying. The thing is, I hear a static in the background that the caller does not hear. It just keeps going, d d d ddddddddddd d d d ddddddddd d d d ddddddddddddd. personally it does not affect the in call quality, but it just bugs me. I dont know if this is a 2.2 or 2.2.1 update issue. Please let me know if you're experiencing the same thing. Thank You

By the way, am I correct to assume that if you will use the three file firmware, in which case you will also need (?) to use the 803 pit file, will you automatically lose all your apps, settings, messages, contacts, etc. ? I'm finding it a bit too troublesome to re-install everything again. I've reviewed a number of backup software but unfortunately, the solid paid programs are not yet available in my country.

before that, i'm still struggling on whether to upgrade my handset from 2.1 to 2.2...
Finally i upgraded to FROYO 2.2
notices significant improvement in:
1. Handphones seems faster,
2. Display is nicer,
3. Unlocking of screen can now uses PIN.. :)
4. Daily briefing for stocks is faster and more efficient...
5. blah blah..
very very HAPPY now....

Hello, can anyone tell me how to upgrade to the new 2.2 version? i have some issue trying to connect via usb all of a sudden, it's just would not connect to kies or the new samsung pc studio. I have rest the whole thing a and still the same....HELP!!!
