Guys, the WXJS7 version of Android 2.2.1 for Galaxy S is now available in samfirmware.com. It is said in some forums the battery usage and speed/performance has improved - even compared to JS5. Has anyone tried to flash this? How's the performance?

On the side, I have a question regarding this. The only available download from samfirmware.com is the three file thing - not the single file .tar firmware. Just in case I flash this three-file-firmware, will I loose my apps, settings and messages even if don't do a factory reset? My apologies for the nube question, I'm still very amateur. Thanks in advance!

            another quick question,
Android has all these Apps (100,000 or more) so how can we see the Apps at the bottom of this list ?, do we have to wade through the whole 100,000 or will we never see even a quarter of them in our lifetime ?
I know they're in categories, but thats still a hell of a lot of Apps.
            Any ideas?

can some person who knows what they're talking about explain to me what the following running services on my phone are, as they always start up when I switch on.
wssStartService, OmaDrmConfigService, GTalkService, SnsService, AxT91ME, AlarmService.
Do I actually need these running and if not can I stop them from starting up every time I switch the phone on ?
              Thanks in advance.

sam, 09 Mar 2011Both galaxy and iphone 4 are great...its a matter of taste ... moreoh Yes, Android only has 100,000 apps, compare to Apple store.

I mean everyone needs at least a few thousand apps on their phone right?

Many of the apps on Apple are exactly the same on Android.

my phone updated to froyo and i downloaded lots of applications in the market and also in third party sites. My phone works well and i also downloaded apps for task manager so i can close all my apps that made my phone little bit slow. so my phone runs great! i think it depends how you used your phone. =)
