for the nubs, use custom roms and 512 ram is there although the powerVR GPU needs 128MB or ram, that's why it's the most powerfull gpu available (desire HD en optimus x2 are no match against the 56fps capped sgs)

Hi guys! I got Galaxy S today and i am veryyy happy with this phone, its amazing! Screen is just perfect, battery too. Its very very fast phone. I just have one question, in settings and about phone it says my phone has android 2.2 froyo!? Is that possible? I thought this phone comes with android 2.1? I got my phone with froyo instaled, is that right? Thanks!

Hi guys...last 45 days got this instead of iphone4, yes it is much much better than iphone4 cuz has got almost all functions you need in your notebook..
But i found the following problems with my hand set.. do not know if this same with you gus..pl. rely me.problems are 1. whenever I work on internet/ download -battery life is very poor- have to recharge twice a day!! 2. can not send / receive MMS when my network is not working- DOES NOT suport WIFI for MMS!!
CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. THANX.

Everyone Should give back their sgs to samsung. Samsung just wants to sell their new phones and they don't care about existing customers.
New sgs i9003 with slcd has been introduced, with Froyo 2.2,
Now this phone with almost same identical specs shows 478mb free ram available in task manager for applications out of 512mb.
And sgs i9000 with froyo upgrade shows only 304mb available out of 512mb.
Even if we don't use any application, the used ram memory ranges from 200mb to 220mb, we have to clear the memory very often to bring it down to 160mb and with in seconds it goes back to 200 mb range
That's the reason the phone lags and applications do crash very often on this phone
And we have to look for alternative options such as root the phone and use lag fix viya odin

I have this phone for about 2 months now this in my opinion is the best phone ever it has all the stuff that I need and it is super fast just alittle concerned that when I download android 2.2 will it make my phone slower??buy other than that I will give it 10 out of 10
