I had downloaded XWJS3.
It has 3 files.
Is version okay??

I have a question. some people manage to make the phone work for 2-3 days w/o charging it. how do you do it? In my case, I can only use my phone 16-18hrs. my 3G is turned off all the time & my wifi is switched off when the screen is off. I browse the net for 1-2hrs per day & I use the FM Radio for 2 hrs.
I'm on 2.2.1 firmware & speedmod kernel btw.

SB, 04 Feb 2011Hi guys...last 45 days got this instead of iphone4, yes it ... morehi first do a hard reset ,cause this removes any bugs available.then get ur gprs setting an save it.iam on aircel so my phone had auto settings preinstalld.if u don ave the e(gprs) sign ,,,then go to settings--wireless networks----mobile network---acess point name------ here u enter ur providers name---apn---port no... and dont forget to save this new apn...and many do complain for battery..see new batterys u shldnt jus use it out of the box..condition it if u feel to (discharge full and charge full 4,5 times)or let the batt get empty till phone goes black,then charge it full and see if u get any result.cheeeerzzz.

Suggest you check all your settings go settings>location and security>useGPSsatellites and useSensoraiding are CHECKED MARKED.
also make sure WIFI is check marked.

for those asking how to upgrade to 2.2.1. just register to samfirmware.com & download the official 2.2.1 European firmware there. There is also an instruction on how to flash firmwares using Odin

I recommend Darky`s 9.2 because it is easiest to install and you do not lose and apps or settings when you update it to newer versions. Easiest is to install the Odin version, and it and instructions can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671

I have been using the updated version of Android 2.2.1 since two weeks.I have bought the phone from Clove Technology from England.I have first updated the phone to Android 2.2 and now to Android 2.2.1.The Performance of the phone is much better than Android 2.2 but the main problem is the GPS.I really can't get anything on the GPS.It take ages to connect and before its gonna connect to something i already closed the application fed up waiting.I tried GPS on Nokia 5800 and Apple Iphone4 both respond very smoothly.Don't get me wrong Samsung Galaxy S is a great phone.But even with two update the GPS is the same no fixing it.The rest is fabulous.I recently did a test with an Iphone4 on the net.The Galaxy S wins by miles.Very Quick compare to the Iphone4.If anyone knows how to fix the GPS please do tell.As its the only thing that will make this great phone better.

Saqib, 30 Jan 2011Those who have got guts to read this truth, for those only:... moreI dont't think you have a SGS,in galaxys there is a preloaded task manager to close any application that you want and it very user friendly, you just click it from the widget from home screen and thats it.I won't advise you to download a taskkiller manager from android market.
