raus, 14 Jan 2011nokia n900 I swear it's a crappy phone, enzyme is resistive... more,,,, what a joke ,,,,,,im using nokia n900 more than 10 months and i9000 aroud 3 months, you are wright we cannot compare galaxy-s with n-900 .der is huge different b/w dis two my dear ..... SGS-i9000 is a great phone

I get 3 days battery use (I switch it off at night)that's using satnav for one three quarters of an hour trip, listening to some music now and again, useing camera, playing a few games and surfing the app store a few hours in the evening.
Personally I don't think the camera is that great and the more apps you load on to the phone the longer it takes starting up when you switch it on.
some apps have made my phone lock up or freeze but switching it off and back on and unistalling the bad app fix the problem okay.

BTW why you only have one day?

Best phone on the market right now.
Almost sold to buy HTC derire HD. Becoze with stock firmware the phone really lags. I was so frustated as everyone else. I knew the hardware is great, the cam, video,screen you name it. I'm glad now I didn;t sell . If you can flash the custom rom and follow the XDA guys(they're doing really a good job) the phone is great.
Now I have recently flash Dark's 8 rom with speedmod. It is flying. You can check in youtube for custom rom's performance. Also flash video looks great.
If you don't want to go into hassle of flahsing custom Rom My advice is don't buy it yet. Unless samsung figure out something else. If you want everything out of the box, HTC desire HD would be good choice. But cam and screen are not good as galaxy s.

I got it less then a month. Its GREAT!!!! I love it. many apps. easy to use. great camera sound etc. ONE SNAG!! Hopeless batery life. running appies makes the battery last for only half the day. But i love it.

I thought that Samsung would come up with a much better phone taking this is one of Samsung's top models.
This is not a business type of phone. More like a teenager's playing field. This phone will keep any youngster busy. All types of gadgets and lots of games available (to download).
More serious apps one have to buy off the net. There are some really nice apps on the net to download (and pay for). Samsung could easily have included similar applications on the phone.
I do not have time or energy to fiddle and play with a phone until it works.
This phone needs constant internet access.! And the is no way to disable internet connectivity without disabling GSM connectivity.
Phone comes with basic apps installed. Then the rest you have to download from the net directly from your phone. Do not take/use this phone if you are not willing to pay extra for a data bundle.
You can not download apps to your PC and the install on your phone. Not with this model. The management software distributed with the phone will not allow you to download app using your computer.
Why I wonder? Let's see. Information? Biggest information systems company in the world... Google is collecting data big time and what better way for any company/government to collect data is to have users's phones on the net without a firewall to protect your privacy. (I know what I'm talking about - I'm working in same "information" field)
Some apps on the phone warns you before connecting that Google will collect data during your session. In your face man.
Samsung is in bed with Google here. All internet sync and mail and most applications synchronizes with Google. Doe not take much guessing to see this, it's in your face. Guess Google limited Samsung on this and that.
GPS is not stand alone. If you want to use the GPS on this phone you will have to have/pay internet bandwidth charges.
Comparing to any Nokia business phone this phone lags way behind.
Do not go for this phone if you want a business phone.
Unless you want to spend days searching for app to download and install.
This thing does not even comes standard with a normal simple calendar! Want to use/have a normal calendar on this phone..? No such thing. You have to connect to the internet using your G-Mail (Google) account and sync with your G-Mail calender. If you do not have a G-Mail account you can create one or do without a calendar on your phone.
Or you can download a calender (again paying for it).
This is not a serious phone! Closer to a toy/x-box/plaything.
I really thought knowing the Samsung brand that this phone will surprise me. Yes, it has.
Not a bad phone at all. But lacks most basic things all other normal cellphone have.
Samsung could have developed a much better phone.
Not just griping here. I really am disappointed.I do not like the phone.
I am going to return mine to the dealer and change it for a Nokia business phone. Done.
Then I know what I have and I know it works.
I9000 have all the bells and whistles BUT no guts.!
