Don't use this phone on pay as you go, I just got mine and made sure I closed down everything,( wi-fi,3G ect) and it still used up my 10.00 of credit in 2 hrs.
now i'm frightened of put more credit on it so it's back to my old phone.
what's happened to my credit?

It is a pain to do anything on Symbian but for most users it is very easy to root... Android, just use Google and you will get answers and solutions to all your "problems".

First,the battery is very nasty. I have to recharge it every 1 day without gaming or taking 10000 pictures.But it is very special. I love this phone. And trust me I bought this phone on 4 december 2010 and if you have money go and buy it !

Can anyone tell who have this phone and have u tried what I m asking....pls tell me in this phone Skype work?have u tried in audio talk and video?have u tried skype pc to this phone and phone to phone with wifi and on the air?is this phone multitask?sametime I can get messege alert for yahoo and hotmail messenger and face book?pls reply when u have done before....can we have full flash support if not then how?thanks

Download Z4ROOT from ... moreThank you so much i am half way there..I keep nipping upstairs to do bits and bobs cause got relatives round..
You see when i first got sgs it speeded round but then got some apps onboard and data and the lag with everything was getting bigger the more i carried on ..
Now to get this thing flying...;-)

Download Z4ROOT from Market. install
then after you activate that program go to Market and get lagfix and install.
Dead simple.

Download Android-SDK-Windows (google it_
Install it on your windows PC
Then read how to do it thru your PC.
ONce you learn it you can do all kinds of neat things with your SGS.

Arrrggghh,,i have got update.zip into this bit on sgs thats NOT sd AND NOT external sd its in the other memory i hope...BUT when i do volume up /power/ home button it just boots up it wont go into bootloader mode..
All i can think of is go back to factory reset getting rid of all app/contacts/the lot..
Give me a symbian and i can unlock it and change product code so know a little bit but stuck on this ..i need to root to get new custom rom on sgs ,well actually,,lag fix..Argggghhh

UK User: I have just updated the OS to v2.2.1 and can tell you all that Samsung must have listened to their users because it is now lightning fast!
No lag, NO problems!
