Anonymous, 24 Dec 2010cpu is lag,i used cpu and ram usages software..speak properly and get a life,you know nothing about computing ,,why not spend some money and get a computer course cause you should NOT BE using a smartfone.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2010Galaxy S is fast with no lag at all after official update t... morethe official FroYo update of Samsung is slow. the phone lags more often compared to Eclair. that is the reason why Samsung released a 2.2.1 update (Europe gets it first), to lessen the lags & fix some bugs on the phone.

Friends,
I upgraded my mobile to FROYO last week, but I don't find much difference and my device hangs some times where I need to remove and reinsert battery.
Guess still there are bugs in officaial update aswell.
The following reasons made me choose galaxy S:
Super Amoled Display.
ARM Cortex A8 Processor.
Android OS.
But now feeling sorry for following:
FROYO Update with Bugs.
Plastic feel in my hand.
Worst battery life(half day 15% remaining).
Average Camera .
Average Music.
So waiting for "LG B" mobile to get released.
It's really the best mobile that a human can ever use
with rocking Processor, mind blowing Display and Ginger Bread upgradable to Honeycomb.

Hi
i have downloaded some songs from website in my SGS. they are not showing up into my Music player.
When i download the songs, every time i have to either restart my phone or have to move any media file in my SD Card so that Media scanning can start and the downloaded file show up into my music player.
Is there any other way to refresh media player in SGS?

I bought this phone about a half month... moreI just downloaded kies,,how,,by googling it..
Then opened up kies and let everything be detected thru usb cable.
Pressed on update icon and adhered to all the warnings and a big yellow triangleappeared on my sgs.
All these files download and updates all by itself ,,sgs restarted and that was it.I am total novice as well it could not be any easier.

I'm using the 32 gb micro sd and no problem at all.
it's not a symbian phone but an android with the fastest available processor.

i just bought galaxy s in dubai.. the scene is that its with market and in dubai market is not official.. also the firmware is 2.1...
2.1 official rom but with market... now the question is can i be able to upgrade to 2.2 official rom..

Google them.
The SGS will stream bluetooth to just about anything.
