I have this phone, I am very excited about it ... especially since I did update to 2.2 Froyo.IS VERY NICE THIS SAMSUNG GALAXY S GT i9000 with FROYO 2.2

all those who are having laging problems after upgrading to froyo try doing an factory reset if reset dont work too you will have to root your SGS and run lag fix which i had to do on my SGS.

I'm generally not a guy who posts on forums, but I couldn't bare this, so I'm shouting out here!!
DO NOT GO FOR FROYO UPDATE FOR GALAXY S!!!
IT S****!!!! ITS TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOW!!!!
I bought Galaxy S i9000 last week and it was pretty fast and cool, I loved it...
yester-night I upgraded my handset's OS to Froyo and suddenly the swype input mode in my set stops working!!!
in addition to that, a few applications stop working too...
and the worst part, my phone is now slower than a symbian or some old android (i guess android 1.6) handset, even when I'm not multi-tasking!!!!
Can anybody suggest me a method to get back to Android 2.1?

Forget using KIES. use it only for updating to Froyo.
After that just connect via PC and USB. You will 2 extran drives in ''My computer''. move your files in and out that way, much faster.

I have this phone its good, Please advise me how to upgrade it to Android 2.2 Froyo. I have installed kies on my laptop. what are the steps we need to do after connecting device to Laptop(FYI Internet is available).

Hk, 07 Dec 2010I had the same problem with you Format your internal sd card...I formatted my sd card after taking backup. After that when i connected in kies mode it says connected in my mobile and i can browse the sd card from my computer and transfer files but it in kies it still shows the bar in the top right corner moving back and forth saying connecting. I want to connect to kies and update to Froyo but i am frustrated spending a lot of time in connecting.

Hi..is it possible to use gprs on this phone..i am from india and my provider is vodafone..the customer care guy says that gprs cabnot be used on this phone..

@hailey, Yes adobe flash 10.1 is available for Galaxy S Froyo. You can download it for free. I'm running it in my galaxy.
