Turn it on only when necessary. Please also switch off the background data auto downloads in the setting.

Mine is working very very well especially after installing the Froyo 2.2.
So many people praise this unit. Majority of them can't be wrong, right?

I've finally got the Galaxy S updated with Froyo 2.2. It's available in Malaysia now, just go to the Samsung workshop nearby.
It works great - much faster and smoother.

Not necessary to root or install any lag fix and I have more than 200 apps install. No more over heating or lag. I guess with froyo install all the issue are solve. Froyo rocks and to sunny you are full of bull.

I am from bangalore! I bought this SGS 15 days before. It is working fine and good! i have only one small issue with one Live Wallpaper. When I work with multiple application it replaces 90% of screen Black and plays wall paper in 10% of the screen. Please advise how to fix this!

i have posted many times here and this is the last time i will post as i got rid of this garbage. despite having froyo, rooting, lag fix, phone continued shutting down and lagged. one of the worst phone i ever bought to date that i paid lots of money for and sold it at half price to an individual to take it abroad as i m in the USA. i hated the phone with passion and now its gone. i bought htc desire hd and paid a lot for it as i buy unlocked. what a breath of fresh air. OUT.

Akshay, 25 Nov 2010This is total BS...waiting for froyo has bcme more like sea... moreAgree 100 percent.It is a crying shame. I own an I-Phone 4 and Galaxy S. Just updated my I-Phone O.S. Smooth as silk and within 30 minutes completed the entire process.
What is wrong with you Samsung? Kies is wishy-washy and a humble apology, pitted against Itunes. Nonetheless, Galaxy’s hardware is top notch and this phone, in my opinion is among the best 5 in the market at present.
