This phone sounds great. How is the camera quality of the pictures? Video recording sounds great but how are the pictures taken with the phone?

after weeks of struggle.. of choosing btwn wave n N8....i suddenly lukd at this phone..n jus fell in love wit it..'luv at first sight'..lol!!!btw i bought N8 n it has such a pathetic camera tht i cudnt believe its a 12MP one..n symbian OS sucks & luks very boring..not many applications too :( !!n wel..cam isnt my concern cuz no phone can actually replace a DG cam (which i alwez have in my pocket)..m gonna get this superb phone 2moro n i hope i'll b a happy man then!!ll give my feedback 4 sure!

I used KIES to get the Froyo update but for the rest its worthless. I mount the memory cards via USB and move my data that way., Much quicker.
And after rooting the device it is now blazing fast.

A complete disappointment - not possible to connect the device via Kies in order to synchronize contacts and calendar with MS Outlook.
Kies is the main disadvantage of the phone... Is there anybody in Samsung hearing?

people saying galaxy s have a bad design compared to x10 & i4 sucks...get ur facts rite frst!!! galaxy s is made up of smooth design instead of ur shattering glass & fckng displays :P
look at the videos on youtube (breakdown tests ) & den reply !!!
GALAXY S is the most advanced smartphone in the market as of now!

people having trouble with lags after updating to froyo :-u have to perform a factory reset first after upgrading .

dear friends,
froyo update is available in india. 5 days back i connected my SGS to pc for sync with kies. I was asked for updating the firmware and i did so. now i have froyo. but....but....
the phone has slowed down comparatively. it lags to open applications and other basic phone functions. it even lags in sweeping across the screen for your photos. though it has taken care of functionality in messaging and phone function but the lag is quite irritating. if any one has the answer to this, ...please help.

OMG!!! I can't believe my SGS with 2.2 is more lag than my friend's SE X10i with 2.1, in terms of phone start up and opening of applications!!! Damn disappointed!!! Sometimes I do wonder if presence of delay would benefit the consumer's user experience.
Samsung, I am disappointed!!!
