If someone can get both class and technology, then why go with low class and good technology.
Both iphone4 and xperia x10 have great technology and also look 100 times classier than this ugly brick! eeew this phone really looks like sh*t, I can't imagine wearing something good and carrying this thing around me.

I think most of the people agree that the iphone really looks good, so stop talking nonsense. Because the only ugly device is the galaxy s.
in fact, I have never seen a smartphone this ugly, I don't own either but when it comes to looks I think the iphone4, sony ericsson x10 and the Nokia n8 all rape the galaxy s.
galaxy s is really ver ugly, only a person with no taste of fashion would buy such phone.

Don't expect Froyo update to come to india this month. Samsung is very lazy when it comes to after sales support. They will be working on another product to get more revenue than the support of upgrading the existing products

The galaxy s used to be ranked number 2 in gsmarena's list now it's number 12! I guess people are starting to realize how shit*y and slow this phone really is.
This phone may be a match for the iphone for a while, but since it doesn't have any durability it will suffer from many problems sooner or later.

The update can be via Samsung Kies (you can download this for free from samsungmobile.com) or from any official service center that Samsung has. The real question is the time frame in which Samsung will release Froyo in your country. The update has just been made available in my country this morning (I'm from the Philippines, Froyo was not yet available last night but when I checked this morning, its already there!) so its probably available already in your country or it soon will be. Take note that accoring to Samsung's official statement, Froyo should be made available to all countries within November.

Good for you! Because I sold mine as well. Since samsung never released Froyo for my region. Samsung are so terrible when it comes to updating their devices, now I'm with htc and it's heaven.
I ignored how ugly this device is because of the great technology it comes with, but come on! Why stay on 2.1 while others have 2.2
