Use iphone 4, galaxy s, and n8. Best device is galaxy s then n8 then iphone 4. Use mac and windows all versions. Make sure you get a device that meets your needs. Galaxy has dlna and n8 usb OTG. Iphone only has itunes. Have any of you used your devices for sharing, copying or transferring? Hspa fastest on galaxy for those who need to know then iphone then n8. These comments from real use. Spec on paper and hear say not the best way to judge a device. Hope this helps.

The worst things for your battery are 3G and Wi-Fi.
Only turn 3G on when you use it, it's pointless to have it on all the time. I switch to 2G except when necessary. Also, Wi-Fi sucks the life out of your battery. Again, turn it off when you are not using it.
I've had 2 full days use out of my battery so far using it just for calls and texts and about 30 mins on Wi-Fi, and it is still on 29%.

one thing android application,tools,utility and games is very easy to install than symbians!!

Updated my sgs last night after installing the latest kies software. It took me 30 min because my internet connection wasn't so fast. First impressions about froyo: there is overall improvement in performance and the phone became faster. There is indeed some lag when opening many applications simultaneously. Remember the gallery used to lag but not any more. I am not pleased with the flash support so many videos don't play well and I couldn't play farmville on facebook. There is flash player 10.1 on the market should I download it?
The best thing is you don't loose any of your data (apps, apps data, settings, bookmarks,) but I recommend backing up your data.About the gps issues I still get my location 200 meters away which is really frustrating but I haven't tested it in my cart yet. I Hope that helps.

charged it last night... moreNo dude,i think that is a problem underlying with ur phone. I am a proud owner of galaxy s, i get nearly 14hrs battery backup (doing facebook, gaming, browsing, music player).Remind u that watching video and using GPS sucks the cum out of the battery.
Even i had battery issues the first week but then there are a few tips(settings) to enhance battery life, u should be able to google it.

i did 'play' on it, like facebooking, looking at the apps market and downloaded a couple for probably all up 2hours or so, and ya a few texts and only got 15hours out of it
its brightness is on the lowest setting
is it just how these fancy phones are? any tips for battery saving? thanks

Just got this baby (upgrade from i780). I tried to connect via kies to update froyo but no updates available (i am from malaysia). Any one manage to upgrade to froyo in malaysia?

ninjha, 17 Nov 2010n8 is farfar better than galaxy in all aspect.26k bucks no ... moreN8 is a toy, that could be sold by Toys r us. N8 browser totally sucks! 360x640 is a screen resolution for toys and not for editing professional documents... and only 256 mb ram also makes document-editing impossible. No qwerty in portrait really sucks! Symbian is still far from userfriendly. Only 1200 mAh battery is not enough.
N8 have a good camera, but if yopu are not a professinal fotographer that will publish your photos in magazines or... then you do not need this N8-camera. If you can carry the extra USB-on-the-GO cable with you all the time, then you easily could carry a much better dedicated camera with you making N8 completely useless.
N8 is not a top end smartphone, it can not compete with Galaxy S or X10 or IPone4..., but it is a cheap alternative for the mass-market.
