I dont understand what the problem is on this site. Some people have Apple's some Nokia's, other on Samsung etc and instead of passing on valuable opinions and help people leave messages degrading phones just because it has a different label on them. This is an excellent phone, few flaws, as do all phones, but is it really worth starting world war 3 over? If the Nokia N8 is so good, then vote for it, same with the IPhone, but voting down another phone just because you want another to be number 1 is beyond silly.

I had tried n8 and galaxy s. The only advantage of n8 is the camera. Everything goes to this phone. No wonder why it always rank high in most reviews.

Hi..my phone(galaxy s)shows a error notification as 'msg not delivered' whenever i try to forward msgs to multiple contacts,is there a remedy for this...! Pls anybody help me out..

Ayush, 15 Nov 2010Hi shiva..is there a way to lock messages and videos in gal... moretry application protection in market for locking the apps and for locking video it will take long time to encrypt but i personally has a idea of hiding the videos which may be crazy but it works am using this method in all phones from 6600
if u have a file manager just browse to the video file to hide and rename the video extension filename to some other for example if the video file is .avi then change it to .avhhhh and hit k then u no player r gallery detects the video later if u wan enable try same method and rename it to orgin file name .avi

1. Sending blank messages
2. Make blank calls without the knowledge of the owner.
How.....? Just keep the phone unlocked in your pocket for sometime.......& you'll know.

It is a good phone.
It would have been better to have
1) Neon Flash,
2) Better GPS system (Unless it is clear open sky, the A-GPS does not connect to Satellite, and the locking with Satellite gets disconnected),
3) Better Battery Bank,
4) USB Charging Slot should be of common type, so that the standard connecter could have used with it.
The major issue I find it the Kies Software. The Kies Version 1.5.3.10103_100 recognize the device in Win 7 64 bit, but not in Vista 32 bit.
The Support from Samsung India is very poor.

Rohit, India, 15 Nov 2010I have heard a lot about GPS problem on net for samsung gal... moreAfter factory resetting to JG4, I got a lock to over 7 sattelites in under just 5 seconds on a very first boot! It suggests so much about the Indian ROM. The accuracy is as precise as well. So from my personal experience there are no problems related to the GPS with the Indian ROMs. Hope that helps!

I have heard a lot about GPS problem on net for samsung galaxy S. Is it a very serious problem?? What about phones being sold in india. Do they have the same problem or is it related to some specific build??
